Pho NOHO — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This had to be the most disappointing experience. Not because of the food quality. But because of the portions you get. I can tell you with every fiber of my being, to avoid the rice dishes unless you truly like being ripped off. Around 12 dollars plus tax gives you a laughable amount of meat. A mound of rice that is only comparable to a kids scoop of ice cream, An even smaller scoop of potato salad which equates to a little bit smaller than a golf ball. A little pinch of what is supposed to be pickled cucumber. And this cabbage salad covered with mayo based chili sauce. The kicker? An extra scoop of rice is nearly 4 dollars after tax. Rice. Like its such an expensive and hard to obtain commodity. The sad thing is, it's not bad. But its not great either. So you are basically eating a sub par meal only comparable to the size of some cheaply prepared, under portioned in-flight meal. As for the Pho. You can get so much better Pho elsewhere. Excellent pho, mediocre rice plates. Not worth the price in my opinion. Clean dining room. I actually ate the food that I dropped onto the table. Friendly and super fast service. Metered parking on street, or there is a lot around back below the apartment. Nice atmosphere. I ordered "house special" pho (Vietnamese Rice noodles with various cuts of beef). I really liked it. Tender flavorful meats, perfectly cooked noodles, and broth so savory I can't help but pick up that bowl and slurp it down. The beef fried rice was good, not amazing. The BBQ chicken was dry and bland, disappointing. These three items, with an extra order of beef tendon added to the pho (love the texture of tendon), cost me $45. For that much I want to leave that place "walking sideways." No such love. I would come back for the soup, but I'd need to be very adventurous and extravagant to try...

So i ordered today this is my second time at this place i am in Disbelieve of what this place has done today…. First of all i ordered online for a Large Pho soup Expecting enough veggies and sauce for this amount right… no wrong i show up to the place lady hands me a bad with 2 chili bags and 1 HOISIN SAUCE …. Ok i ask her can i get more she says its .25 cent per packet and 1.25 for extra veggies LOOK I NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT STUFF LIKE THIS BUT COME ON I ORDERED A LARGE SOUP NOT REGULR i would’ve completely understand if it was regular BUT IT WAS A LARGE …. Top it off one little lemon per bag WOW TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE 22.25 i paid there are better places with much better service and definitely not charging for HOUSIN SAUCE OR CHILLI SAUCE YALL NEED TO CHANGE THIS OR AT LEAST PUT UP HOW MANY BAGS TO EXPECT FOR EACH ….
