I really wanted to give this location a better rating. I also tried looking for the best location available but it seems impossible when it comes to Jack In The Box restaurants in Los Angeles county. I should have just visited the location near Sepulveda Blvd and Pico Blvd.
The new waffles are very good, which is the reason I stopped by and they might be discontinued pretty soon, but I felt just a bit uncomfortable dining in at this location. During my visit there was a homeless man sitting outside who later walked in to fill up his drink cups that were not Jack In The Box cups. Another man asked to use the restroom who ended up using it to change clothing, who later walked outside and started smoking weed with another man who was already hanging outside the side entrance during my time dining there.
I'm posting this for anyone who isn't comfortable dining in restaurants with this type of atmosphere. I can handle it but I prefer that this type of atmosphere was non existent.
But do not let this review make you feel otherwise about West Los Angeles. West Los Angeles is a beautiful part of the county. I really believe this is a Jack In The Box issue. Almost like 7-Eleven's in L.A., the branding attracts this type of clientele. And it's pretty strange seeing as Jack In The Box is no longer cheap to eat. I spent $7 there today for just 2 strips of chicken and 3...
Read moreTerrible drive thru manners. I was completely patient with them. This is the second time had a bad experience here. The woman that took my order didnt greet me. Just asked me what I wanted. Didnt confirm my order. When I got to the window her hand was already put to take my money before telling me the total. There was a guy helping her. He looked a little more professional I can only assume he was the manager on duty. He looked overwhelmed. He looked the same way the last time he helped me. When she gave my change she didnt even tell me my change. She kept her head inside the window reach out and made no eye contact. I had to pull the money from her hands because she wasn't paying attention. Instead of asking "would you like any sauce?" All she said was "sauce?" My food sucked. My patty melt was lightly grilled if at all. Onions were hanging out the side. It wasn't wrapped in the paper just open in the box. My tacos were borderline cold and stale. My fries were almost room temp and soggy. I work in a restaurant. I often joke about giving bad service to have less costumers because we would be so busy all the time. . .I think they are deliberately giving bad service to have less return customers late at night. It worked. I'm...
Read moreI went to this location around 7:45pm 7/26. The manager and employee began to speak Spanish to each other (it's unprofessional and extremely rude not to mention obviously suspicious) after I ordered in English. The manager then started to pretend she was talking to a man (she was looking at him but talking to me rhetorically) who was eating asking him if he wanted something spicy but in a very obvious there's-something-wrong-with-whats-spicy tone. And she was obviously talking to me but indirectly as I just ordered something spicy. The guy she pretended to talk to, who didn't acknowledge her, was eating ice cream. So there was absolutely no reason to offer anything spicy. Unfortunately, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and now have food poisoning. Honestly, if the owner doesn't review the cameras in kitchen then this place doesn't care that it's employees are taking advantage of customers. And if I see that manager (a heavy set short Hispanic girl) I will...
