Jennifer Pennifer Bakes — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I was exploring the Palms area(checking out the Sunday Farmer's Market)and found this very cute Bistro. I was impressed with how clean and bright Jennifer's is with very nice decor and artwork.

The Staff is very friendly and I decided on tuna, egg salad sandwiches, 3 types of cheesecakes and coffee.

First, the egg salad was phenomenal, superfresh tasting and I appreciated the quality difference as they use free range, organic eggs. The tuna was also excellent.

I had lemon, peanut butter/choc and german choc cheesecakes. They are shaped like cupcakes instead of slices but this really worked for me because the flavorings to cake ratio is better resulting in much tastier cakes for me. This type of cheesecake, for me(first time), is much superior to the large slice type as they are less flavorful.

I read over the reviews and realize the prices are somewhat higher but frankly these were the BEST cheesecakes I ever had; so totally worth it. So, I have to strongly disagree with complainers on here because it's analogous to being upset a Ferrari costs more than a Toyota(and the price differential is a lot less).

I am still thinking about those incredibly delicious cheesecakes: again best I ever had and great concept to make them like cupcakes instead of slices.

The bonus was the espresso and cappuccino were superb.

Jennifer Pennifer is now my #1 choice for cheesecakes in LA and the sandwiches/coffee are definitely...

I can't speak about the quality of the baked goods... I ordered a lunch delivery: a tuna sandwich, a salad, and a fresh squeezed orange juice. The tuna sandwich was the smallest I have ever seen, literally three tablespoons of tuna and a size you'd give a 4 year old in a packed nursery school lunch. The salad was small too, and they omitted the avocado, and neglected to include the egg salad side. Worst of all - they did't contact me to offer me a substitute for the orange juice they didn't have - and so I was delivered a lunch with nothing to wash it down with. I called them and they refunded the $ for the missing items, but didn't offer to make up for the bad experience an any way... this is NOT a service oriented establishment! I will avoid them in the future, and suggest nobody use them for deliveries! The actual quality of the food was...

I just moved into the Palms neighborhood so I am thrilled to find a sweet little local coffee shop that I can walk to. Everything is VERY reasonably priced which isn't always the case with privately owned shops. Jennifer and her staff are SO great! They all welcome me in with a smile and good conversation. I feel so good knowing I'm supporting a local shop run by a kind & friendly female business owner. I've been vegan for 6 years and they have a handful of great vegan food options - everything I've tried has been excellent. And they have soy & oat milk for coffee! They also have some gluten free options too for those looking for that. Can't wait to continue to eat my way through their menu :) Thanks Jennifer for a lovely...
