So glad I discovered this Thai food gem during my walking adventure on the west side of LA on a Monday night within an hour of closing time.
I was drawn in to a quaint atmosphere with calm music playing, wall images of Buddhist deities, and a few other guest patrons dining. Pat was my server. She was very hospitable answering questions as well as accommodating my order requests.
The Veggie Pad Thai was the truly the best I’ve ever experienced. One of the main reasons is the sauce which was a perfect blend on the palate that tasted delicious! Previous experience usually has too much peanut and or coconut. This one was absolute perfection along with the noodles with quality taste and texture! The fresh vegetables of generous proportion and balance of serving made for a hearty meal. I ordered a chamomile tea to complement in which they serve Celestial Seasonings brand. For a $15 price point in this current time period well worth the value for such healthy food and presentation.
A humble and friendly staff who enjoy what they do and work hard to make for a superb guest and dining experience. Highly recommend and will return when I’m back...
Read moreThis is a great little Thai restaurant that I've been going to for years. I recently ordered Panang Curry beef, with a side of brown rice. I got the chicken satay with peanut sauce as an appetizer. The chicken satay was juicy and tender. The Panang beef was also excellent. Check out my photos. This place gives you large portions of food, and I had to take half of the meal home. Special kudos to the manager, Eli, who stopped by my table to ask how the meal was going. My waitress, Fern, was also very friendly and provided perfect service. This is a tasty place to visit before or after seeing a movie at the Landmark Theaters. You get a lot of value for...
Read moreI seriously miss this place. I ordered from Chilli Thai on a regular basis during the 20+ years I lived in their service area -- mostly delivery (they were very dependable and efficient), but occasionally I'd eat in or take out. Their spicy mint noodles dish was a personal favorite, along with the Chilli Thai Chicken and their Panang curry. It may not have the ambience of the more famous Thai restaurant down the street, but the food never disappointed. Now that I live overseas, in a city with just one mediocre Thai restaurant, I realize how easy it is to take a place like this...
