I have been hearing a lot of positive things about "Jesse boy Korean fried chicken" but kept forgetting to try it. They are in a small location in the middle of a forgettable strip mall at the intersection of Vine and Santa Monica Boulevard. When I say small location, I mean small. They do not have a dining room. You therefore must get your order to-go. As with all modern restaurants, they do have an online presence where you can place orders for pick-up or delivery. Since all orders are made fresh when you place your order, it is highly recommend that you place your order in advance and pick it up once it is ready (if not delivery) simply because there is very little space to wait for your order and it takes around 15 minutes on average to prepare your order. If you find yourself waiting there for your order to be prepared, you will also find yourself trying to be as small as possible while waiting for your order. Is the food worth the effort and the wait? You bet it is! I had the fried chicken bowl and an order of Jesse boy fries. The fried chicken bowl was delicious. Fried chicken tenders on sticky rice with a very healthy mixture of fresh vegetables on top. The chicken tenders were plump and perfectly cooked (juicy not dry) and it all went together to make a healthy meal. I couldn't just stop at healthy though so I had to get their version of cheese fries. Cheese fries are not exactly unhealthy for you but they are fattening. These cheese fries were heavenly so I know that they had to be fattening. Anything that is this delicious has to be bad for you. It is one of the rules of dining. The better it tastes, the worse it is for you. These cheese fries were so good that I must have been taking years off of my life while eating them and I honestly did not care. Bring on the cheese fries and I will gladly die young. I will try to balance things out by eating a healthy main course from "Jesse boy Korean fried chicken" but you better believe that will be followed up with their absolutely heavenly cheese fries. I am drooling just thinking...
Read moreTo Customers: They hate their customers who order through grubhub. So just go in person or use ubereats (at this point I don’t know)
Also do not let them put sauce on your sandwich. Just order it on the side. Trust me.
To Restaurant: We would have ordered here everyday if you just provided the right thing no matter which day of the week we order. And we gave you so many chances to make it right but I can see that it won’t change.
I don’t know why restaurants dislike their customers. You know the sandwich sauce smell like vomit because you think all people just eat anything in their orders. I had to drink an immunity shot afterwards because of the smell of the sauce on the bread beside the cauliflower.
You are too lazy to prepare the cauliflower the correct way and that makes no sense. Customers don’t want to prepare cauliflower which is why we order from you. Otherwise we can eat raw unseasoned whole cauliflower at home. So if your employees don’t want to prepare the cauliflower then what is your purpose?
We cant even eat spicy foods actually but we have resorted to ordering spicy everytime from you just to get the original flavor and small cut cauliflower in our order. My child now refuses to order here because the order always sucks. But its 2025 now and I give up with trying to make you on my top list of restaurants because it’s unfair to us. It’s not...
Read moreI ordered the original flavor Cauliflower to and ate it at the Yoshinoya in the same strip center, since there was no facility for washing up at JBs. Did not enjoy the meal at all! Breading was ok, sticky and okay flavor, aside from still being a bit too spicy for my taste. Just didn't taste good overall... Mightve been different if there was some sort of creamy (non spicy, maybe sweet? ) sauce drizzled on top or a creamy sauce offered. I think that any sauce woulda helped with the overall flavor. Returned to request sauce but was offered soy sauce, um...okayyy. The side of fries was apparently the star, since they overwhelmed the dish in quantity. However, they were pretty flavorless and overcooked since they were so skinny. Needed a thicker cut and way less salt. I did not eat many of the fries and tried to stomach the Cauliflower, but I just ended up discarding it at the bus stop, after consuming 50% cauliflower and 10%of fries. It was still full, practically. Maybe a homeless person found it and ate it... The best par was the pickled radishes that were by request only. They were delicious, I'd even consider purchasing them! While waiting on my order, I saw chicken tender meals and thought they looked like worth trying. Maybe I'll try them next time and...
