I Hope this letter finds you well. The reason for this letter is to inform you of a recent incident that occurred to me the date of 2/2/2025 at 1:15PM in one of your Starbucks locations. The store number is 52258-279471 which is located at 6260 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
On this day I placed an order for an Iced Shaken Espresso, My Receipt # was 668654 on this particular day there were only two staff on premises that were visible for me to observe. I came in with a small laptop bag, seen no plugs around so ended up getting my coffee to go. After this I made my way to my mothers place which is about an hour North. After arriving to her home, almost immediately ten minutes later I started to get body aches, a headache, and decided to get myself home to try to sleep it off, assuming I was developing some sort of cold. My husband was very shocked to see that we were leaving so early, when I had been looking forward to visiting my mother.
After getting home and resting my husband woke up because I was sweating, shivering, and had a very high fever. Soon as he woke me up I told him that I could smell chemicals coming out my pours, as well as taste them. That’s when he told me that if I didn’t feel better by the morning we would go to the hospital.
The following day we called Starbucks at 12:26PM to ask what was in my drink, since it happened to be the last thing that I had ingested. The shift leader proceeded to apologize on their behalf. She stated that they should have emptied the chemical out of the Expresso Machine before usage, she continued to apologize, and offered to refund me the $8.25. I explained to her that this was not about the $8.00, that I was very sick as a result of this.
I soon ended up at the Emergency Room at, here the doctor diagnosed me with Gastroenteritis, and I was plugged into an IV, I was kept here for about a total of six hours, before being discharged.
After a few hours, the symptoms resumed, and this time, I ended up with a severe headache, that was unbearable to handle, so I ended up at the hospital yet again. When the nurse saw me she stated that I looked paper white, and immediately hooked up me up two IV’S.
In Conclusion this has impacted me as I had to take a week off work, and am still currently recovering, with light sweats. Furthermore nobody’s health should be jeopardized over a simply...
Read moreI'm starting to give up on hoping that I'll receive decent service at most locations anymore. Ever since they introduced those new machines, staff at various locations seem to have forgotten how to make coffee, or they attempt to charge you extra for a pour over bc "the machine isn't ready" yet, but that's another issue.
I go to Starbucks and get the same thing every time; a venti blonde roast with extra heavy cream. I don't use milk or creamer in my coffee due to lactose intolerance, and heavy cream has less lactose. The amount of guff/attitude that I receive because of this preference is astounding. It's as if I'm asking them to go out and buy a new gallon bc it's so much extra effort.
Moreover, the error is often made because of minor distractions, like talking/joking with others. I'm not at all opposed to teams joking/enjoying themselves at work; IT IS NECESSARY FOR A GOOD WORKPLACE. But if you can't focus on individual orders and talk at the same time, maybe wait til you finish an order?
This is the third or fourth time in 2 weeks I've made a request for extra heavy cream in my coffee; and they either forget it (today), add creamer and/or get irritated when I ask them to correct it. If I'm going to be made to feel bad about a purchase, then there's no point in frequenting that business unless I see team members that I know won't make me feel bad about my drink request.
It was more convenient to get coffee on the way to work, but I guess I'll have to start making it at work and buying my own heavy cream to keep there. It's probably better for my wallet...
Read moreMy boss sent me to Starbucks to get 20 specialty drinks for a team of very important people--I am so glad I picked this location for this intense order! Many of the individuals I was ordering for requested drinks with extra specifications and the baristas took extra care to double check every drink from the order and add a different name to each cup to help me out.
Judy, Peter, Mimi, and Lizeth were SUPERSTARS! They were so kind and understanding, truly the best Starbucks experience I've ever had (and I've been to many Starbucks locations)! Not only did they make my day better by completing the order so seamlessly, they did it with smiles on and no complaints. Such a big order could have been a nightmare, but instead I walked out there impressed and with a big smile on my face! These wonderful individuals...
