This is my third time coming to LA Taco House. My mother is a taco fanatic, so I find myself at random taco establishments throughout my week and I’ve grown fond of a few. Unfortunately, I won’t come back to this location. The first two times, the food was pretty good. There’s a small variety of items on the menu including Taco’s, Nacho’s, Burritos and Taco Fries. All include a choice of Chicken, Ground beef or Turkey. If you have EBT, there’s a three-taco special with a drink. Points for that. I always shoot for the ground beef, hold the salad. The first two times, the meat was seasoned with a heavy hand however I washed it down with a Coca Cola & water and all was well. The customer service was mid however the food came out hot within ten minutes both times.
Tonight however, the service was poor. After the person in front of me inquired about her order, the young lady walked away from the counter and said, “I don’t want to talk to customers”. So, a gentleman walked up and took care of us, which was cool. Once I ordered, I left out as the atmosphere was too loud. There’s a man leaning over a table seemingly doing nothing however that’s every time I come. While waiting for my order, the gentleman who took my order walks out to his car and the young lady who “Didn’t want to talk to customers” is on his heels. Who’s cooking the food?! The two of them went to the car twice together albeit briefly while this strange guy is leaning over tables staring the customers down.
Once I received my food, it was heavily seasoned to the point I ate one taco and discarded the rest. I would have returned it however the environment wasn’t welcoming, and I felt if I said something, it would have been met with hostility or an attitude. There was no professionalism and for those reasons I won’t be back. The taco competition is thick. There’s Taco Pete on Slauson, Bills on Manchester and House of Tacos in Inglewood. I’m going to pick consistency and customer service every time. I love to support small business as they shape our community however that comradery has to...
Read moreWell,I've been passing by here for some time. I looked the business up on Google Maps. I saw that they open at 12. I finally was passing by at 12 in no rush.Paeking lot was no full,so it was a good time. I don't normally eat at a place with a B Dept. of Health rating. But it could be as little as gril or waterl wasn't hot, or cold wasn't cold enough. I stepped inside,it appears very clean. No customers inside.Just me. While I waited for an employee I was looking at the digital menu. I already knew what I was coming for,3 tacos. I wanted to see how the turkey taco was, maybe try another kind. It was taken a little bit for someone to come. Finally an employee with big eyelashes. She was not a young employee as I observed her slowly making her way to the counter, I noticed she had her head down and was either typing on the phone or reading. I thought perhaps she was coming to take my order. When she got to the counter she continued to do what she was doing on her phone. I waited. There was never a "I'll be right with you." No,"hello." Nothing.I waited. Finally when I made up my mind that, " that's it for me." "I'm out." I shifted my weight to the right foot to turn and exit. She seemed to notice the shift. Then she said, "How are you doing today?" I said to her, "I'm fine," as I continued out the door. I could tell she was wondering if I was leaving,or if I was just going to the cat and returning. My car was parked right outside the door. I don't know what is their protocol for serving the public or customer service. But this is below my standards. If you don't value me as a customer, what else don't you value...
Read moreGood Customer Service is extremely important in the restaurant business. No matter how good your food is customer service makes a difference wether or not a new customer will come back to your establishment. The first time I visited LA Taco House was two months ago. As I walked in to make an order the young lady behind the counter rudely told me to wait as she finished some other orders which took almost 10 minutes. I said nothing and turned around and left. I swore I'd would not come back. But 2 months later I decided to give them another try. I walk in the restaurant and just like before I was told rudely to wait. This time by an older lady at the counter. I decided to wait. The wait time was almost 10 minutes once again. I think she either forgot my order or deliberately held the order back to make me wait or just to see if I would get angry (who knows why). The wait time is very long and very slow. There is no urgency in the staff to make your food. The woman behind the counter seemed very confrontational "NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL. Very hood, very street and very unappealing. I ordered 2 beef burrito's. To be honest it was the worst burrito I have ever tasted. A 5 year old could make a better burrito. If you don't serve good food at least have good service. They have neither. If you decide to go there this is just a warning of the service you will get. Matter of fact don't eat...
