Panades were hard as a rock. I wanted to stone whosoever that made my 7 Panades right into their face and collect back my flipping money plus the potatoes pound was not mold properly. It was much worse than heck. Too soft and look like when someone regurgitates their food and over the price for the item. Never again will I step foot into this restaurant. Meat pies had so much dough. Too much and it was not flavorful. How do these people stay open? People must really not have quality taste toward great food but it sucks if one contributes to such an establishment. I wasted 37 bucks and I'm pissed off as fudge I'm glad that the owner responded back to my review. It was a week ago on a Saturday afternoon. I did enjoy ur coconut tart which I cannot understand where the cent comes in one your prices. Ex: a pie is $ 2.37 cent instead of just saying it's$2.00 then add your taxes at the end of your bill. It's crazy plus a Panades is $1.37 cent? Who made up these weird prices.? It's like you're double dutching on your price and still add your taxes. I'd 7 Panades 1 slice of potato pudding which was loose pudding not a square piece. Very mushie 4 meat pies and 1 jam roll then 4 coconut tarts which my sister paid for. I myself spent about $40 bucks. How can one go wrong with Panades? It was hard and I was unable to chew the flipping corn even after zapping them for 30 seconds. I think they added too much flour in the masa. I told my sister who goes by to get her 4 coconut tarts 2x a week to take my food back because I live in Long Beach and I'm disabled. She was too embarrassed to take my food back which got me more upset because it's my money. I hate that I'd write such a rude and nasty review but the truth must be told because coming from a cook like me knows how Panades should taste and plus I do know how to make the best potatoes pound but due to my disability things change. Anyway to the owner thanx for replying and please let your cook know not to add flour to the masa next time. Yes you do need to recognize your cook's mistakes. People need to be more honest to help your establishment to grow. My sister will be bringing me some tarts this upcoming weekend and maybe just a couple jam rolls. I truly wanted some Panades but after buying those last 7 I'm skeptical about getting anymore from your restaurant. Have a blessed remainder of the...
Read moreLet me start with this...Everything was superb, some things better than others. A personal favorite and lots of good memories brought back. Pictured... That's a side of oxtail in the cup, tender flavorful ,more fat left on the meat really adds to the rich flavor. The big tray is rice and beans, potato salad stewed chicken and fried plantain. This food blends so well you can mix and match each bite. The odd shaped things are panades with fish the best i've had hands down. Yep that's a coconut tart big as your hand. The crust is buttery, not dry, the coconut is cinnamon goodness - which leaves a lasting taste in your mouth . Milk Cake with carmel yumminess, bread pudding was moist smooth consistency the bomb..lastly it's the potato pound a little dry still tasty. It's a lot we ordered everything we wanted, I can't wait to get back. If you haven't been yet go it's so worth it. P.S. there's a jam roll haven't...
Read moreFood: terrible rice and beans is below par. I had better Belizean food at my friend's mom's house. You gotta watch their food because they don't sell a lot so you just might get something old like the rice and beans and oxtails. The only thing that is good is the jam rolls their meat pies are not even fresh,we bought some for 4 dollars and something for one and we ate it later on both of our stomachs hurt. It made me want to call the health department, not happy. By the way there is a young lady that works in the morning has a real bad attitude and acts like she is so busy you have to wait on her over 15 minutes just to order a jam roll. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for good food. Hey I also got some Stew beans and white rice and guess what, that made our stomachs hurt too. Eat at own risk . Talk...
