I'm really disappointed to be writing this review. I've been a loyal customer here for five years, introducing countless friends and even sharing this place on my social media, which got thousands of views. It used to be incredible, but sadly, things have changed.

My husband and I ordered two "loaded" burritos, but they were anything but that. There was maybe an ounce of meat in the entire burrito. We paid an extra $2.99 for carne asada, and for that price, you'd think they'd be more generous with the portion--but it was like they were rationing it as if cows were going extinct. Literally less than 1 ounce of meat in the entire burrito.

I mentioned the portion size to a staff member I've seen many times before, and his response was, "This is how they always come." That couldn't be further from the truth. I've consistently ordered burritos and tacos here, and the portions have never looked this skimpy. When I pointed it out, he just shrugged and said that if I wanted extra meat, it would be an additional charge. I explained there was barely any meat to start with, and he insisted that's just how the carne asada comes, especially with the upcharge. The whole interaction felt dismissive and, frankly, absurd.

As someone with years of experience in hospitality, I was shocked by the lack of care for quality and customer experience. Spending $50 on burritos should come with decent service, not to mention a burrito that actually feels "loaded." Standard food establishments give at LEAST 3ounces of meat for some context.

The last time I was here, I ordered a quesadilla for my son, and it turned out to be far spicier than expected--an 8/10 on the spice level. I couldn't believe it when I tried it. Thankfully, the woman working that day was kind enough to replace it since my five-year-old couldn't eat it. I wondered if the cooks had changed but still decided to give them another chance.

Unfortunately, my family left La Esquina today feeling disappointed, hungry, and frustrated by the experience. The greed was obvious in the meager portions, lack of customer service, and refusal to make...

Delicious street tacos especially on Tuesday!

I frequent this place usually on Tuesdays when they have their Taco Tuesday special which is $2 per taco. For the price, it's amazing. They are pretty tasty, but not necessarily out of this world. My favorite tacos to order are Al Pastor, Carne Asada, then Pollo, but Al Pastor is by far my favorite. I just love the pineapple on it and the meat is seasoned decently well and tender. The carne asada is good too, but sometimes it's a bit drier/chewy but it's still good. The tacos are garnished well with diced onions and cilantro and are wrapped with two small corn tortillas.

The tacos also come with a decent sized serving of chips which is awesome! They also give you a plethora of different sauces to use with varying spice levels. It also come with a side of radishes and limes!

I ordered a California Burrito once and it was okay. The carne asada was really good and tender, but the potatoes/fries were too soggy/mushy. Maybe not worth for the price.

Service is usually pretty fast. If you dine inside or outside at the tables, they'll bring you your tacos on a platter. The line can get a little busy, but it generally moves fast.

Overall, great tacos for the price and...

I usually always order here Asada tacos , Asada Fries all which has cost me more than 16 dollars each. I spent over 20 dollars every time I come. I also even order online. Today I noticed they are cooking with a very bad oil. The oil is thick and sticky and not good at all. I even found what looks to be a pubic hair in the taco. I don’t know what to think at this point of view. Why do they put so much oil? & what kind are they using this is drenched in thick sticky oil. This is the first time I can ever really say I don’t feel like going back here 😔 even though this was my favorite place I would even tell all my friends to go there. The tacos are almost 5 dollars each too. I think I’ll have to hold off here or maybe they can consider not adding oil to the asada ? Not even my dog wanted a piece of meat this time who knows. I wish this place was more neat this oily situation is not what the ambience is usually. They are usually clean but I found a hair in my taco and it looks to be very thick to be a facial hair. I wish maybe some day I can have a...
