Best Bakery in LA, this is a wonderful new place that just opened up in Lincoln heights, the service is amazing, the staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home, the bread is delicious, soft and fresh, you can see and taste the difference, you can tell they use good quality ingredients, I tried El cafe de la oya and it's been the best tasting cofee I have come across. I have visited this place with my husband and kids 4 different times, and every time it's a wonderful experience, the staff offers us samples, the enviernment is so calm and family oriented, we really enjoy coming here. I would highly recommend this bakery, I love sweet bread and have visited many panaderias across the LA area, this is the best in my opinion, if you're in the area stop by and try any of their pastries, you wont be disappointed. They also offer a good variety of organic items...
Read moreA very inviting, modern and cool bakery-coffee shop combo, with excellent costumer service, freshly-made delicious Mexican pastries and a wonderful menu of food and coffee drinks.
I personally love their "cafe de olla," a Mexican style "pot coffee" with cinnamon flavor and sweetened with brown sugar, and their Cafe Oaxaca, which is a Mexican hot chocolate plus espresso.
My favorites pastries are the "trenzas" of cheese and jalapenos and "cuernos" of guava. I've also tried and recommend their vegetarian Mollete Chorizo among the meals they have for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The place is impecable and spacious, with several tables for eating in. They always have a good mix of music playing and also free wi-fi.
This Lincoln Heights bakery/cafe may be among the most spacious of La Monarca's many locations in the...

But was absolutely horrified at cleanliness of some of those places. I don't need food poisoning so I passes on those. 4th try was La Monarcha. This place is spectacular. This is the hispanic version of a Panera Bread...big bakery counters filled with BEAUTIFUL bakery items with a mexican flair. The lady behind the counter offered me a sample of the cakes and WOW...DELICIOUS! I left with two wonderful breakfast tacos and an AWESOME Mexican flavored mocha. Did not realize until later in the day that this was a chain of some sort when we passed another location. I REALLY wish they had a location in Denver where I'm from. Have not seen anything this good back...
