I cannot say enough good things about this place! I wish I had written my review right after eating there, because I was over the moon refreshed and filled with joy from how good the food was. I was literally skipping down the street, absolutely estactic!! 😍😋 I ordered the fried mint, which I really had no idea what was coming with that, was it just fried mint, was it a rice dish? Had no idea, but when I received it, I was pleasantly surprised! It was a whole blend of sautéed veggies with the mint and a plate of rice on the side. The sauce was to die for!! And in perfect pairing, I had ordered a young coconut to drink. Also had no idea what to expect, but it was PHENOMENAL!! If you like coconut anything, this is better, because it's the actual thing with the obviously actual flavor, and suddenly, your coconut flavored things no longer stand in comparison. But I digress, the food was amazing, the mouth feel was amazing, the taste lingered in all the best ways and I wish I lived here so I could experience this all the time. If you need a pick me up after a rough day, 100% go to LA Vegan!! 👏👩‍🍳😚👌

This is a quaint neighborhood Vegan Thai restaurant off Centinela and Short street. About 20 of my church members did a restaurant takeover and met up to eat plant based today. Parking available in the back and streets. Carpooling is recommended. The service is fast. However the food was alright. There is a lot of Seitan, Tofu used in their cooking. Many of thier foods are prefabricated frozen. The menu selection has many familiar options. My dislikes are the imitation meats that are made to look and taste like Shrimp, Chicken & Fish. I ordered Pad Woon Seen it was alright but I've had better vegan options at a traditional Thai restaurant. The prices are decent for the area. Friendly atmosphere. Restrooms are located in back of restaurant and the entrance is from the parking lot. Overall everyone had a good time. Most likely I would not go back.

It's our first time eating at this restaurant. We ordered the golden fried tofu, Thai fried rice, egg rolls, Padsee Ew, and orange chicken. The food was great, except for the orange chicken who sauce tasted like they had heated up a jar of orange marmalade and drizzled it on top of fried tofu. This is one of the reasons why I'm giving them a three-star instead of five, and also due to the fact that there is no rear entry to the restaurant we walked all the way around the block to get to the front of the restaurant, only to find that we have to walk all the way back to the back of the restaurant where we parked just to reach the bathroom to wash our hands. Very awkward arrangement of parking to the front door and then back to the restaurant bathroom.

Small spot on Centinela. There's a pottery making place next door. They redesigned the interior. Not too fancy but still nice and comfortable. This place has the best vegan orange chicken I've ever had at any vegan place. It really tasted like the ones I used to eat at the Chinese restaurants as a child. The sweet and sourness of the thick orange sauce goes well with the crispy chicken. When I feel like orange chicken I go here. They also have shrimp tempura roll... fake shrimp deep fried in batter rolled up in brown rice with avocado and a mayo sauce. Tastes great especially when you dine in and have it fresh because it's still slightly crispy. The breakfast option is great too. I like the pancake and their scrambled "egg" ...I think it's tofu. It is mixed with different veggies and spices and the flavor is great by itself or with ketchup. Whatever you feel. Their chicken sate... which is imitation chicken on a skewered is also pretty good. It's grilled with a yellow sauce that reminds me of curry (probably uses similar spices) with a dipping peanut sauce. Their dessert is also pretty good but I usually can't get to it because of all the food I order. I like eating here and I...

My fellow travelers here will surely agree: when it comes to finding a spot to eat, especially at the end of a draining journey from Seattle to Los Angeles, there is no such thing as being picky. But believe me, friends, when I say that THIS place is worth spending your last gallons of fuel on- metaphorically or not. Exhausted, homesick yet tearing up at the thought of having only one last meal left on American land before catching a flight back to France: these were the circumstances in which I found this place, or, to be exact, in which this place found me. As a foreigner, specifically as a Parisian aspiring gourmet, I would tend to judge a book by its cover and a diner by its store front, and LA Vegan’s decor may not look like much or might not resemble what you expect from a West Coast vegan breakfast restaurant. But if you trust me enough to come in here and order anything- ANYTHING from the menu, you’ll be rewarded with the everlasting feeling that for once you made the right decisions in life. No, feeding someone after a three weeks long roadtrip across the worst A&Ws of the West isn’t that hard; but haunting a French mind for almost a year now with the world’s most delicious...
