I got half philly cheesesteaks combo. It comes with a drink and fries. The fries are perfectly fried, and the seasoning is on point. I added an order of onion rings, which was amazing, nice, and thick, and it still had a crunch to the onion, breaded perfectly. I got a side or ranch, which I was not a fan of, but still did not need it as the fries and onion rings were delicious without it. The sandwich, I order it with no mushrooms, no lettuce, no tomato. The peppers and onion were cooked perfectly, with still a bit of a snap to it when you bite into it. The meat was well seasoned, and the cheese was super melty. The only down side and it was totally on me, I burned my tongue with a fry. It's just that everything smelled so good I could not wait.

Ok So I'm not giving 2 stars because the sandwich wasnt bad .It was ok. I saw other pics of sandwiches..cold ones from other reviews. I'm giving 2 stars because at 12.95 there was very very little meat and cheese on the sandwich. I'm imaging there wasn't more tham 1.5 ozs . Like nothing . Now ..did I get a rushed sandwich. ...not come on right day . I can't believe people would be ok with that. Sandwich was all bread ...I would catagorize it as a 8.95 sandwich..no way 12.95 I'm not a complainer. I'm not crazy. If people are ok with that well...great for the shop . It probably cost them 2.50 to make. All I can say

*drool* this place is beyond amazing! Submariners has a wide variety of items on its menu (burgers, pizza, chicken wings, teriyaki bowls, etc.) and prices are very reasonable. My favorite is the Avocado Teriyaki burger, which can be purchased by itself or in a combo ($8.99). Customer service is outstanding, they are super welcoming and friendly. There is a parking lot in the back (3-4 car spaces); however, you might want to find side street parking. I definitely recommend this place!

LIve in the Del Rey area most of my life and remember this restaurant since I was a kid. Food is awesome as our club eats here at least once a week. Their famous BLTE (bacon, lettuce, tomato and egg) sub sandwich is outstanding, coupled with either wedge cut broasted (broiled then roasted) potatoes or regular fries; but IMHO their "diamond in the rough" is the pizza. Crust is thin and cracker crunchy, smothered with the freshest ingredients (and an ample amounts, I might add) then topped with mouthwatering, best tasting REAL mozzarella cheese. We usually get a large size pie with mushroom, pepperoni and sausage for about $13...try getting that price at Shakey's or the Hut. Others may match the price, but no where near the quality and taste of Submariners...BEST PIZZA on...

This review is long overdue. I’ve been eating at Submariner (not nearly enough) since moving nearby 15 years ago. It’s everything I love about a local food joint—no frills, friendly and courteous service, fast, and consistently great food. The Philly cheesesteak and Western bacon cheeseburger are my favorites, though the turkey sandwich is perfect for a cold option. Prices have risen over the years (as everywhere), but they’re still very reasonable for what you get. I always leave satisfied and wondering why I don’t come more often. In a neighborhood increasingly full of gentrified overpriced mediocrity, it’s refreshing to have a place like Submariner, where they prioritize delicious food over cringey decor designed...
