Pricy! Take it or leave it. WON'T be back again for "Happy Hour." :( Came here for Happy Hour. I laugh at their happy hour pricing though. OMG it's expensive. No deals, no discount. No value. The main reason why I gave this place 3 stars was because of the excellent service! But honestly, you're not really getting any value for your money here. They are way overpriced, can't say that enough, falling into the same category as Morton's, Joey's, Il Fornaio, etc. You guys gotta lower your prices. Alcohol... oh f%&, WAY OVERPRICED: 1. $12 for a Well Version (so NOT top shelf) of a gin OR vodka cocktail. 1oz of alcohol, 90% of the glass is water + sugar, with a slight spritz of juice. It looks prettie, BUT expensive. Ladies, if you want to look good in your selfies, definitely get one of these. But don't expect to get any alcohol in the drink worth noting. 2. $14.50 for a Bombay Gin and tonic. 1 oz of alcohol and a ton of ice. Seriously... anywhere else the are $6-8. Fine dining? I guess. I couldn't tell you because all we got was: 1. $10 Truffle Fries.. whooptie doo for $10, I didn't taste any truffle. At least they give you a "basket of fries." 2. $8 Caprese "salad", I was literally expecting a bowl full of salad. Instead I got two slices of tomato, with a slice of mozzarella on top, drizzled in balsamic vinegar. $8? For two freaking slices of tomato? 3. $16 for 3 Filet Mignon sliders? Here we go again, like Joey's (way overpriced too, in the Village as well). There was nothing in these 3 half dollar sized sliders (1/4" thick) that was anything special. Actually, they were rare, bloody rare. No distinguishable flavor, nothing that makes me say, oh my God that was a filet mignon slider. The bun is 4 times the size of the burger. And who knows what percentage of actual filet mignon goes into the burger, versus cheap 70/30 regular beef. Is there a standard? Are they being tested for this by the health department? 4. $13 for 3 beef sliders with cheese. See number 3 above. They're charging you $3 less for pretty much the same thing as the above. Honestly, I'd rather spend $6 at In-N-Out, and get myself a double-double. At least it has way more flavor at in and out, AND 3 TIMES the beef! To the management of this chain, you really have to lower your prices, especially on the happy hour menu. The whole point of going to a happy hour is the discounted prices, value for the money, Etc. Even the uninformed rich people like to save money. Think of them! I'm not rich, that's for sure. But my opinion of your place is genuine. Who cares about my opinion anyway? Either lower your prices, or offer more food for the happy hour food items. Maybe you could have some kind of huge appetizer platter or something. If you charged $16 for it, that wouldn't be bad.. a deal! But if you charged $30 for it, I would seriously laugh. Loss-leader? Ever hear of it? Get people in your door for the low price drink specials, $5 martinis, and LOWER food pricing during happy hour. If they decide to stay for dinner, then you can charge $52 for a steak, which is probably what you charge anyways. LOL. By comparison, 100 feet away at Lucille's happy hour, a Pinacolada is $6 with 2oz of Rum in it. THAT is a Happy Hour Deal! I won't be back here to Larsen's. Sorry, not sorry.

Food is very good. The experience of being there not so good. We went for a dining experience and received just the opposite. I could have cooked an equally good dinner at home for 1/5 the price and had a much better time. The hostess thanked us when seating us for being nice to her even though we waited 35 minutes for a table, even with a reservation. The indifferent waiter was AWOL most of the time. Even when it wasn't busy in the restaurant. After waiting 35 minutes to get seated it took another 30 minutes to get a waiter and get a drink. The waiter seemed to be stuck in the 50s as well. When he asked if I wanted the wedge salad whole or chopped and I said whole he said , "the manly way". When he delivered the filet to me and the sea bass to my girlfriend and I switched the plates to the correct person he said, "I'm sorry usually the man gets the steak". We had to pile plates on top of each other and place them at the end of the table for anyone to pick them up as they sat dirty in front of us for 15 minutes. Between salads and dinner my girlfriend wanted another glass of wine. We couldn't find the waiter and after 5 minutes I walked over to the bar. The bar was empty and the bartender was just handling the service bar but he seemed harried and overwhelmed. I asked him for a glass of wine and he said he didn't have any there. Back to table and forget the wine. The waiter asked how dinner was as I was placing last bite in my mouth. He then disappeared again and we had to eventually pile our plates up again at the end of the table to get them cleared. The restaurant was half empty at this point. We were seated 35 minutes after our reservation. We waited forever for the waiter to deliver even the tiniest of tasks. The waiter never smiled nor engaged us, simply went about his work in a robotic manner. Why did we waste the time and money on this? I never will again. I've been to Capital Grill, Mastros, Ruth Chris, etc. They all have good steaks as well. The difference is they at least show some interest in your dining experience. And in every one of those other restaurants I am either visited by or see the manager walking the floor, checking on people's experience. We never saw the manager once that night anywhere in the restaurant. In summary the food was good. Salads ridiculously large, share one. The service and attitude and experience of the staff were abysmal. What a waste of time and money. The ambience and food and prices suggest a fine dining establishment. The reality is you feel more welcome and catered to at an In-N-Out. Don't waste your precious time and money here. They don't seem to care about your experience, they just we ant your money. They are resting on laurels and taking their eye off the ball. I'm sure the restaurant won't bother responding to this review.

We made the unfortunate decision to celebrate the New Year at this establishment. Because most places were booked until late, we didn’t get a reservation until 10:30 at night. Usually we wouldn’t eat out that late, but, hey, it’s New Years Eve so it was fine and expected restaurants to be open late.

When we were seated (we were on time), we were quickly told that the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes, so we had to hurry and put in our order. First of all, why even have reservations listed as a time slot 10 minutes before your kitchen closes?? We weren’t even the latest reservation slot as there were options for even later in the evening on the reservation site. This was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of our time. There were no disclaimers or warnings of this before we made the reservation.

When we tried ordering our food, the kitchen was apparently out of many options on the menu. Because of the time crunch imposed on us, it made choosing what to eat an anxious moment instead of one of anticipation. The server didn’t even have time to take our drink orders as she had to run to the soon-to-close kitchen to put in our orders.

When the food came out, the server who brought our food placed one of the orders incorrectly. When we told him one of the guests didn’t order steak he became weirdly frustrated and said “did you guys switch seats?!” No, we didn’t. He didn’t believe us when he said my grandmother didn’t order steak and then basically tossed the plate to right guest. I get that maybe the plate was hot, but don’t throw the plate or at least explain why you threw it. It’s just rude. Oh, and they gave us sides we didn’t ask for (we had to pay for them anyways).

I ordered the NY Strip at medium rare plus, but I was served a temperature not even close to it. It was straight rare and the server agreed and took it back. The food just wasn’t very good, especially if we are dropping $50+ for each entree. My meat had very little flavor and didn’t taste like a quality piece of meat, and no one in my party was satisfied with anything outside of our appetizers. When you have great options around you like Fleming’s, Morton’s, and Ruth’s Chris’, why bother coming here?
