The worst experience ever, I would not give them a star at all. First of all I'd like to say that my family and I had been coming here for over a year now. If you're not part of their Raza you get treated differently but whatever se te Pasa because their stuffs alright not great. Decided to get my bf his cake for his birthday today and some other goodies to and also placing an order for next week for my daughters birthday. At the time of checkout I gave my card, swiped and input my pin. Girl states declined, she attempted 2 or 3 more times and same. I checked my account before any purchase when I walked in so I already had a budget in mind. The total cost did not exceed my budget, so I went on to call the bank as was recommended by the cashier. Then she asked if maybe I had cash. I said no I don't actually, while on the phone with the bank. She said do you have funds? Maybe you don't have enough? Which in a way I took offense but held back. Everything was on the counter my daughter was playing with a toy she grabbed which was included in the charge. This older women stepped in and I got through with the banker. Banker says it shows that they've been paid already and attempted 3x after the first was transaction was made but it is being declined because there are no more funds available to pay a second time, please check the bank app as it will show you the same. I proceeded to open the app and show the cashier which indeed was withdrawn even showing their company name on the transaction. They denied it, said I didn't pay and asked me to pay cash at least, and they did not know what to do in this situation. I payed! I have proof! Just because their machine did not print out a receipt for them that doesn't mean I didn't pay, please hand me my card back. The other cashier insisted that I didn't pay and that she would fix the mistake and swiped my card 3 more times. She insisted again and again decline and didn't give me my card back. She pulled out all the receipts she had and still with my app open and it showing their company name, denied it because they don't have a print out.They took everything I ordered and placed away from the counter and I asked her once again to hand over my card. Finally she gave it back I had my daughter put the toy back and walked out, while still on the phone with the banker. He heard it all even laughed and said I don't know what to say but clearly shows they've been paid. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK THEY LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER. I’ve been coming to Maggie’s Pastries for as long as I remember a real long time. I can say their cake are fair and the price decent. I’ve posted reviews on this place because it used to be the place to go. But today I came in to pick up a pre ordered cake that I had made over the phone. The cake was perfect in its condition. My dissatisfaction was the service, the lady in no way looked pleased to assist me. She ranted at me here’s you cake three times when I kept telling her I had questions regarding some of their cake decorations. Have in mind I’m planning for my babies first birthday and noticed some of their stuff looked pretty nice. I had to apologize to her, that I was taking her time, and told her I had questions. This lady responded with a what else do you want? In my mind I was like WTH. When I asked her about the decorations I asked her if some of the items come in blue. My baby is a boy and I’m looking for a plane with a baby on top color blue. She responded with a “you have to get only what’s there.” Since when are you obligated to take something you don’t want. She could have responded differently, something like “we don’t have it in blue.” I would have been ok with it. But the tone and attitude was not necessary. At the end she gave me my cake and charged me some pastries I also purchased and said have a nice day while walking away. Just to get rid of me. Bottom line it a nice place to buy a pretty cake, but if you’re one that expects to be treated equally. This is not the place to go to. Seems they are only helpful with ppl from their same nationality. I say this because I’ve been coming here for years. I’ve recommended them for some of my friends parties. But every time they don’t even acknowledge me as a customer. Today is the last time I order from this place. Lilit Bakery is just around the corner, the ambience is different. Bought a cake here for 45 persons and it was more for like 25 the cake was watery I called and the owner told me that his cakes are delicious and that is the way they are that it was not water it was syrup I couldn't serve the cake it was so runny it looked like cake shake I don't recommend this place but I should of known from the start the Armenian that took my order looked racist and look at people as if they poop marshmallows horrible experience the owner told me to take the cake back that looked like a cake shake this people has no business doing cakes to answer the owner yes he said to take back the cake I'm in the middle of my party there is no cake because it is a blob with embarrassment I had to tell my guest there is no cake because it was not servable it looked like soup and you want me to take you the cake I called the next day and you the owner told me you can give me a discount not a replacement and to take you the cake that blob had been on the kitchen I had to scoop it of the table and put it in a bag what do you want me to show you this post is for people to know and be aware NOT TO...
