Marielas Taco Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a while now.. Clearly the food is great if I have come back. The only downfall to this business is their lack of communication.. if your a person who gets irritable after having to repeat your order at least 3-12 times I wouldn’t recommend this place to you. Not one person at this business speaks fluent English. Not one person at this business even understands English you’ll find yourself getting overwhelmed wondering how this place is still open if you have to also download a whole app to communicate their language to them. This really sucks because I loved coming here. After today they lost me this is the last time I will have to say the same thing 10 times. I asked for additional hot sauce when I made my order over the phone. (THEY CHARGE FOR EXTRA SAUCE SO YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR IT WHEN COMPLETING YOUR ORDER OR AT TIME OF PAYMENT) so boom I asked for it over the phone… then when I got to the restaurant to pay… I told the man ringing me up which I assume is the owner or manager because he’s always there… to add the hot sauce once again.. my bill came to almost 20 bucks. When I picked up my order from the window… the hot sauce was not in the bag after the numerous times I requested this… they look over the receipt and tell me to my face “YOU DIDNT PAY FOR EXTRA SAUCE SORRY”!!! On Christmas Eve I’ve NEVER BEEN MORE FRUSTRATED THAN I AM NOW. I asked not only over the phone but in person when I PAYED FOR MY FOOD. What you mean I didn’t pay for it!? People hate taking accountability! Instead of them being a good business and accepting they made a mistake they sat up there and had a whoooole blow out with me over this hot sauce! That they forgot to add to my receipt. I’ve never disliked a business as much as I do after today I do not reccommend them! They wait times are ridiculous! No one speaks English! They are always so mean to me when I come here because I ask for extra things! But I am the one paying for it! In actuality this place gets one star from me. The food is good but the customer service sucks! Im NEVER coming back here and I MEAN NEVER COMING TO THIS BUSINESS NOR DO I RECOMMEND IT. Get people who speak English and are friendly you guys should be ashamed...

Hi everyone this is a quick brief information for anybody that is looking for information about us. This applies to both Mariela’s Tacos #1 & #2:

First: We do not have anyone that operates any of the online reviews so I want to just help out anyone with questions and complaints. I am part of the family some of you might have seen me there on the weekends.

Second: Yes we accept card transactions with a 50¢ fee.

Third: No, we do not deliver but a lot of our clients use “postmates”.

Fourth: A lot of information that is on online websites are misleading/ innacurate they have yet to contact us to update any of the information posted on there sites.

Fifth: Yes there is parking but it is a hassle to park in our lot due to the laundry mat next door. Street parking is used.

Sixth: Our food is fresh on a daily basis and our fresh waters are naturally made with actual fruits.

Seventh: We are open every single day besides on Christmas Day.

Eighth: Yes our service is slow at times especially at rush hours due to the high abundance of orders that are received on a daily basis.

Ninth: We are the same owners from day one. There have been minor adjustments such as all the religious propaganda that was up before because we did not want to offend any of our beloved clients.

Tenth: If you have an issue with an order we or more than happy to fix the issue at hand but you must call us to resolve the issue.

Eleventh: Just because you don’t see something on the menu feel free to ask if we can prepare a dish for you or customize your food.

Marielas tacos is one of my favorite mexican places in the los angeles area. Their carne asada is seasoned really well and provide great service. Everything here is great. Not sure on the guatemalan and or Salvadoran food there. Pretty sure there are better places for central american food. They have security guard during the weekends and during nights which make you feel save but at the same time make you wonder why would they need a security guard in the first place. Parking used to be real bad, and they only had enough parking spots for about 7-10 cars for the shopping center. Since then they added another couple of spots. So they went from 7-10 spots to probably around 15, but they also opened a laundromat. Which makes it worse, because the small shopping center already had issues parking and now parking is three times harder than before. The reason i gave 4 stars is because of the food and service.
