This New Orleans PoBoy shop meets Lower East Side Manhattan Deli has been a big hit since its opened. There's a steady stream of order during lunch and dinner hours. They serve up classic fried seafood PoBoys and Mufulletta sandwiches, as well as seafood platters and gumbo. Alongside, they've got all your NY Hero sub greats served up on in-house fresh baked rolls that are fluffy with a flaky outside. The shrimp and oysters are nice and big and made to order! They've also got some I've had PoBoys in New Orleans before and these taste just as good or better than some I had. The spread and hot sauce top it off just right. The sandwiches are delicious (but a little overpriced in my opinion). Delicious thinly sliced cold cuts, with great cheeses, and all your favorite condiments or add ons. Build your own or get one of the predesigned ones like the Hot Bronx or the NYC Ruben. They also sell some delicious desserts like red velvet cake, peach cobbler, bread pudding. As well as to-go deli salads: potato salad, egg salad, etc. I'm definitely excited by this new neighborhood deli as a spot for my...
Read moreThis person who was the only one working at this restaurant today was so crazy. I went in there, sit a little bit. I was looking at my phone. All of a sudden, he looks at me kinda strange, and ask me if I am going to get some food. I don't think customers like to be asked that crazy question: " are you going to buy any food here? " I was surprised. I said no, not yet. He told me to leave. How he was speaking to me was very disrespectful. He keeps telling me to leave. I tried to not get too angry. I left and I told him: " I will make a complaint against you, Don't forget that!". There is absolutely no reason to treat any customers like this. Anyone, doesn't matter rich or poor, sick or healthy, where we are from, should be treated equally and with respect. You who was acting rude to a protantial customer, unfortunately Would have to learn to be kind the hard way. Don't forget that! Try to make better choices! Try your best to be kind and humble. Don't lose the hope to...
Read moreYesterday me and my husband went her for my birthday. We ordered togo plates. They give you a nice amount of food for what you pay. I ordered the catfish platter (fried catfish with french fries) and my hus order the chicken platter (fried chicken strips with fries). The catfish and chicken strips didn't have any seasoning in the batter, so it was bland and tasteless. The fries were good and weren't over cooked or soaked in oil. That's a plus! They do give you some sort of oily mysterious red dip that came with my catfish. It's oil... literally! And also a side of ranch dressing...probably to give the food flavor. Oh yeah you also get a side of coleslaw.
I am giving 3 stars because of the amount of food you get for $12 - $13 per plate really isn't bad. However it's just the taste. It seems like they only used salt and black pepper. I couldn't taste no other seasonings.
So bring your own seasonings... Yes we seasoned our food once...
