I recently had the pleasure of dining at Paul's Kitchen Chinese Restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for a fantastic meal.
The service was exceptional. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we felt comfortable throughout the evening. They were more than willing to help us navigate the extensive menu, which was a welcome sight for a group of hungry food enthusiasts eager to explore a variety of dishes.
Speaking of the menu, it was a treasure trove of authentic Chinese delicacies. From traditional favorites like Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork to lesser-known regional dishes, Paul's Kitchen presented an impressive selection that caters to both novices and connoisseurs of Chinese cuisine.
As appetizers, we opted for the Steamed Dumplings and the Crispy Spring Rolls. The dumplings were delicately wrapped, each bite bursting with flavorful fillings. The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and paired wonderfully with the accompanying dipping sauce.
For the main course, we chose the Szechuan Beef, General Tso's Chicken, and Mapo Tofu. The Szechuan Beef was a standout, featuring tender slices of beef stir-fried with vibrant vegetables in a rich, spicy sauce that left a pleasant tingle on the taste buds. General Tso's Chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a sweet and tangy glaze that balanced well with the chicken's texture. The Mapo Tofu had just the right level of spiciness and showcased a delightful...
Read morePaul’s Kitchen has changed drastically over the years. Their customer service & food is not like it used to be. You felt welcomed, greeted by a staff member and your leftovers were always packed up by your waiter without asking. Yesterday, 7/19/25, I took my aunt and a friend for the first time to Paul’s Kitchen and we did not have a good experience. The Kung Pao Chicken had no spice to it, the Egg Foo Young tasted gritty with no bean sprouts, the Sweet-and-Sour Chicken was not coated well with the sauce. The only dishes that were decent was the Chow Mein, the combo fried rice, the Barbecue Pork and the Egg Drop Soup. When it was time to leave & our food to be packed, our waitress brought us styrofoam plates instead of the traditional Chinese boxes. When I asked our waitress about the Chinese boxes, she whispered and said that the owner didn’t want her to use those. However, I noticed they were being used by their Spanish and Asian customers. This did not sit well with me and I complained about it and because of that I was given the Chinese boxes. I also noticed that a family that was seated behind us was a mixed race family, a white woman and a black man were also given styrofoam plates for their leftovers. In addition, our waitress did not pack our food like the Spanish and Asian customers food was being packed by their waiters. I complained about this too, and the waitress began to pack our food as well as the customers behind us. This is unacceptable mistreatment and I would never be back to Paul’s...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer coming to this place for years. Never once have I had a reason to complain about them, until today.
Tonight my partner and I decided to go have dinner at Paul's. We were having a great time, enjoying our usual meal as we usually do. Things turned south when we received the bill. Management, please regulate your staff. It is NOT OK to have your waitress come to our table demanding a tip. We usually provide tips when we visit. However, not only she make a demand for a bigger tip.
In our previous trips, this has never been an issue. To add on, the waitress went on to publicly ridicule us for the tip we gave. In addition, she went to one of the other staff to gossip about this scenario. We left the restaurant with negative glares from staff.
I am aware that times are difficult for everyone. As a former restaurant worker, I am also aware of the importance of tips. However, making demands for a tip, giving negative feedback on tips and gossiping to coworkers while we are still there, is unprofessional and just flat out RUDE! After tonight's incident, I will no longer support a restaurant that has its staff berate the customers. Management, whoever is in charge of this restaurant. IF you see this, address this issue with your staff or you will continue to lose...
