A few friend and I ended up eating at Pitfire Pizza on a Saturday around 7pm. We have walked by it so many times but this time we just had to have it! This is located in The Village in Woodland Hills so it’s one of many restaurants you can choose from.
This spot had more of a fast-casual feel where you walk into the restaurant, pick up a menu from the front and look at it while waiting in line to put in your order at the register, then you’ll be given a number, you’ll find your own table and display your number on the table and the food will be brought to your table once it is ready. Near the tables, there is a counter with glass water bottles and cups where you can help yourself to water for your table. There is also a bar which serves cocktails, beer and wine. You don’t have a waiter so you’d have to order things at the designated locations every time you want something.
The food was pretty good, it’s what you can reasonably expect at a good fast casual restaurant. We ordered the Zoe’s Pepperoni Pizza, Epic. BBQ. Chicken Pizza and the Meatball Level Up. The pizzas are a good size, can easily feed 2 people. The crust is on the thinner side under the toppings and it’s nice and thick around the rim. Even though the bbq chicken pizza was good, The pepperoni was my favorite. The pepperoni even has the option to buy hot honey to top it off with, which I thought was a nice touch. The meatballs were actually chicken meatballs, it was a very solid choice if you like a good hefty meatball with a generous amount of toppings, I thought it was really good.
The seating inside had regular tables up front, booths in the back and a bar in the middle, so you have options depending on what you’re feeling that day!
The atmosphere felt like a fast casual spot, kind of hectic, bright and families with kids. Don’t expect it to be a romantic date spot or anything like that.
For the parking, since it’s at The Village you’ll be parking in their parking structure, but you get first 90 minutes for free. They often just leave the exit gate open so it’s unlikely you’ll have to pay for parking but free parking is not a guarantee.
Overall, this is a decent spot for a decent pizza, definitely worth a shot if you’re in the mood for a pizza and don’t need super fast pizza or don’t want to sit down at a full-on sit-down restaurant. I’d definitely go back for the...
Read moreREVISED REVIEW 5/16/25: The "delivery challenge" is being resolved. The mistake is most likely due to the 3rd party delivery vendor. A sincere apology has been given by Cody and the apology and resolution has been accepted by my daughter. They are working out the delivery services now so that this SNAFU never happens to anyone else again. Therefore, it's fair that change my rating and updated my review.
Original review 5/10/25: I don't write terrible reviews, but Pitfire Pizza Woodland Hills catering manager needs to read this review and apologize for nearly ruining my daughter's big birthday and anniversay celebration at Malibu Wine & Gardens Saturday May 10, 2025. We had a group of 50+ people. We had a very big order. I heard that another small group at Malibu Wine & Garden also catered with Pitfire Pizza. The delivery person for Pitfire Pizza Woodland Hills dropped off ALL THE FOOD to the other group!
After a while, my daughter called asking when our food was going to be delivered. They informed her they delivered it a while ago. My daughter was in tears when she discovered the other party had all our food.
Several guys had to go and retrieve our food for 50+ persons. Unfortunately all the VEGAN orders were missing, and our vegan guests had to eat whatever was available.
Dear Management: We noticed that your staff only wrote my daughter's name on a few boxes. If you are delivering a large order of food to 2 groups at the same venue, shouldn't you clearly mark each box and tray and instruct your delivery person to successfully complete the delivery to each party, not just drop off all the food at once for a free for all?!
I suppose it could've been worse: They could've dropped the food off at the wrong place. At least we retrieved 80% of our food (our guesstimate.)
In fairness, we enjoy the Pitfire Pizza at the Culver City and Westwood locations. But this mistake should...
Read moreI will be back here. Great food, very casual dining experience, very easy to pull tables together for a table of 10 or 12 people.
I'd heard about this place, and always wanted to try it. Came in for some pizzas, and ended up getting the ginger wings and also Mac and cheese. Very tasty.
A lot of people with my group likes the mushroom pizza. I prefer the barbecue chicken. Both are great! Also the sausage/pepperoni pizza was delicious.
Pizza size is pretty decent, probably bordering on 13 to 14 inches, thin crust, but a bubbly outer edge.
I'd say if you have three kids under 10 years old, they could probably split one pizza. Adult, maybe one pizza will feed two people.
You order and pay at the bar, then they bring the food out to you using a table number system.
If you're getting sodas for the kids, there's a whole separate station in the back where basically they give you the cub, and you fill up whatever you like. Free refills! There is a separate water station if that's all you'd like to drink.
I didn't get a chance to try any of the Margaritas or beverages on tap, but from what I saw other people ordering in the place, everything looks on point.
The place is located kind of right in the middle of the village. You can either Park in the main structure for one and a half hours free, or park in the front area for I believe it's around $3. By the way, you do have to walk to the front door maybe a good hundred or so feet from wherever you park, in some cases a little bit more. Wish they had a curbside entrance, but you can't have...
