I would definitely come back here - food was exactly like I expected it to be. And the atmosphere is cosy. Price is ok. Small cafe, just few tables available. A lot of free parking place on the plaza. I ordered Tom Kha Kai - it is coconut soup with a choice of chicken or shrimps (I prefer a little bit spicy and with shrimps), mushrooms, lemongrass and ginger. The size of a portion is big enough for 1 person. Also I decided to try Green tea ice cream and I liked it! I was totally satisfied with my lunch. My hubby tried Pad Thai - it is thai rice noodle fried with a combination of chicken, beaf, pork and shrimps with fresh bean sprouts. He also was excited about his food (said just he would add a little bit more shrimps, cause he had only 2 of them on the plate, he expected some more...). Also he ordered Tapioca with Thai iced tea - taste seemed authentic to us :)
We came at 3:02 pm, just after their lunch special time ended))) Next time we'll try to come before 3pm and try Tom Yum...
Read moreAs many have noted, this is a hidden 'gem,' as it is tucked in the back of a shopping plaza. Though, it is the first thing you will see if you go through the back entrance of the plaza. Cute spot, authentically made food done well. Not a luxurious or grand place, but very affordable and very nice owners/cooks/front counter young man. We had the beef pad thai, grilled beef salad, chicken satay with yummy peanut sauce [I find peanut sauce seems to be done vastly different at all restaurants! : P], mango with sticky rice, and green tea for desserts! I would go there again, if we lived in the area or the next time we come back to town. Very few people seem to eat there, as I guess most people do takeout, so it felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves and that was quite enjoyable! There is also a large-screen tv running news and entertainment shows, should you want...
Read moreIf you are Black I would steer clear of this place. I paid for my food and went to use the bathroom about 5 mins later one of the workers came and asked me if I stole a bag of rice packet, And asked to see inside my bag. Because I'm a Christian woman I decided to show her my bag, and she offered me an empty apology. Being black in america you can lose your life over being accused of stealing. Definitely not okay. I ordered the pad see ew and Thai Thea the taste of the food was not pleasuring on top of being accused of stealing. Definitely never going back and I don't recommend this place....
