Full review to come 😉* As promised here is my full review. I work nearby temporarily and I find this spot through Google Maps of course. Sadly, before coming here I went to another place slightly closer and it was a complete disappointment. I passed by this spot on the way into the job site and decided to look it up and pay a visit. I ordered the carnitas Torta. Served on a toasted telera with meat of choice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, mayo and melted cheese. A very generous portion, I ate half at lunch and the rest a little later.l, although I don't recommend saving it as it became a little soggy but was still good. The menu is simple with burritos both dry and wet, tortas, tacos, a few breakfast options, menudo, pozole and other Mexican staples and some vegetarian options. I did visit the location a second time and tried the carne asada burrito, the serving was slightly smaller than other burrito spots i visited. Various canned and bottled soft drinks. There are a few dessert options such as churro cheesecake bites. All in all the food is good, the service is good and the restaurant is refurbished inside, so it may be a good place to eat in for a quick bite. They do have 2 kiosks to order when paying with a debit card otherwise you can order with the cashier. Parking is very limited but we were able to find parking quickly so I believe this is a good place for a quick visit. Wheelchair access and parking but as I mentioned...
Read moreIn this part of town this restaurant is not bad. Most Mexican restaurants around here aren’t that great though. Que Ricos could be much better though.
To begin with you are forced to use a computer screen to pay if you are using a card and will be helped only if you pay cash. Lame.
Even worse they are always playing northern Mexican music which I can’t stand. Why can’t they play Mexican pop or rancheras sometimes? The good news is that they have a jukebox so you can take the crumby music off and play whatever you want.
I’ve been here many times. The chorizo con huevos is better here than in other local places. Today I ordered two red pork tamales with champurrado. I asked the guy behind the counter if they are spicy snd he said no.
I sat down and found out the tamales were too spicy for me. When I was a girl, red tamales were not this spicy. At least the lady that made them for us didn’t make them spicy. I’m Mexican but I don’t like spicy food. The tamales were ok but nowhere near the best. The champurrado was weird. Didn’t taste like champurrado. I’m glad I got the 12 oz size. The 32oz size costs almost $8 or something like that. Pretty expensive.
Parking outside in the lot is often hard to find. Meter parking...
Read moreBy far the worst "Mexican food" I've had I couldn't even eat it I had to return it and the worst part about it was the employees weren't working gloves especially right now during the COVID-19 pandemic, they didn't want to give me a refund when I had barely touched my food and it was fun because as we were discussing on why I couldn't eat it another lady walks up to the counter and says the same complaint and the only difference was I orders on uber eats and the driver took 10 mins to ge to my housed when he got here everything was so soggy and musshy and just looked liked it had been bathing in left over sauce so had to drive the food back to the restaurants because it was be far not acceptable and the fact that I called and spoke to them before I went and asked for the refund that they told me to come get just to be denied in my face as if I wasn't told to come pick up my money by far this is not a good business as well as no type of...
