My mom is 70 years old try to study at LACC. And she bought the book from school bookstore. And next day she found out worker gave her the wrong book because book has own code, that mean he gave her the book somebody used before. And She went back to the bookstore try to get own code but she didnt have the reciept on her by that time. Bookstore manager told her pay $5 to get the reciept. And she paid $5 to get receipt. Now bookstore worker told her come back to get the code next day and she went there 2pm next day try to get the code for the book. Sametime worker went to the lunch and his manager told her come back 4 pm. What kinds of service is that ? She is 70 years driving 30 minutes to get there get that little code over and over. When I went in, there were people behind the counter who were more interested in talking amongst themselves and being on their phones than actually helping students. Meanwhile, the line kept getting longer and slower because no one seemed to care that people were waiting. It felt really unprofessional to see employees chatting and scrolling while students stood there needing assistance.
A simple purchase shouldn’t take so long, but the lack of attention and customer service makes the entire process stressful and inefficient.

I found the same book online for--guess how much? 4 dollars final! Yesterday I was there buying a kit for a computer class I am enrolled in. The kit consists of two sheets of plastic and some small easy to lose parts. How much do you think a thing like this should be worth? 15, at most 20 bucks. Nope. Try 60 bucks total! And for an extra touch of pure meanness, "The sale is non-refundable." They sure know how to make things fait accompli. To make matters worse, you can't buy them anywhere else.
