Did You Get Your Coffee Fix Today? | Re: Coffee

I recently visited your coffee shop, persuaded by a coworker who raved about the coffee. Although I am not typically a fan of coffee shops, I must admit that I fell in love with your coffee shop. I have since enthusiastically recommended your coffee shop to everyone I meet. However, I recently had a couple of experiences that left me feeling disappointed and concerned. Last week, I visited with the intention of indulging in your wonderful pastries and cream. To my surprise, the woman at the counter, whom I assume is the owner, flat out refused to sell me just cream. After some negotiation, she agreed to sell me an espresso-sized cup of cream for $2, and I was quite content with that. This week, when I returned for a similar order, I was informed that I would have to pay for a whole drink, priced at $6.50. I agreed to the terms but specified that I expected a drink cup filled with cream for that price. The lady at the register assured me that it would be okay. Upon receiving my order, however, I was disappointed to find that the cup was only close to a third filled with cream. When I inquired about this, the lady at the register explained that they had consulted the owner, who insisted I could not have more cream than that. The inconsistency in pricing and the subsequent disappointment in the quantity received for $6.50 have left me concerned about the overall customer experience. If the cream and pastries were the primary reasons for my visits, the recent turn of events has certainly made me reconsider returning to your establishment. I believe in providing feedback constructively, and I hope you take my experience into consideration.

I may have just found my new favorite local coffee spot! First of all, their Iced Americana made with Canyon Coffee's Alentejo coffee beans is genuinely delicious! I love Americana but I am a stickler about it since I make some really good ones at home with my Profitec Go espresso machine. Re:Coffee uses one of the coffee brands I like, Canyon Coffee, so I'm also stoked that they carry freshly roasted bags here. Ive had the Gadeb and Sagebrush before, and I recommend both as well as Alentejo. I'm looking forward to trying of Canyon's lineup now that I know I can get them at Re:Coffee. The Almond Croissant is so good here too! Not crazy sweet, but plenty to satisfy your craving. The croissant is light and fluffy, while the almond flavor is fantastic. This is definitely one of my favorite places to get this! The decor is minimalistic bt inviting, so it's easy to spend time here enjoying all the goodness! Lastly, I just love the energy and vibe of the employees here too. They're actually serious about coffee in regards of making it and knowledge, but knows how to keep it fun and light. I love talking shop about coffee with good people!

New coffee shop just dropped in a prime location. Open a bit later into the evening as well (7:30PM).

I tried the signature iced Mocha Cream Top during my visit. Good espresso taste paired with dark chocolate and a cream mousse on top. The cream was a fun touch, not sure if you're supposed to stir it in or not so I just scooped it with a straw like you'd do with whipped cream. Personally, I could do with a regular Iced Mocha as I don't like my drinks to be overly sweet, but it's still a fun item that I'd probably order again in the future.

Price was $8.19 with a $1 tip to the barista. In Los Angeles, coffees/lattes are not taxed when sold to-go, unless sold with a hot food item. Not sure if their POS is set up correctly but sales tax shouldn't be added to the cost of a $6.50 drink. People will be more inclined to tip if their total is the same as the shown price of the drink listed on the menu. $7.50 is a lot more attractive than $8.19, just saying.

I hope they commission some art, plants and some color to the walls. Pretty bland interior otherwise. Would be more comfy if the lighting was a bit 'moodier' at night as well.

Parking lot and street parking available. Popular spot already so seating inside and parking can fill up fast.

Hope to see y'all succeed...
