We were looking forward to this restaurant and well, it disappointed in a couple ways. The waiters and waitress were very nice though I do believe they were short staffed as the ambiance was slightly busy but nothing crazy. We got a table and ordered (no prices on the menu - big sign) - a little bit later I received my food (no miso soup though) but it took 15 more minutes before my husband to receive his. And, what’s the rule… you never eat until everyone has their plates. That’s just flat rude. So, I waited, yes mine got cold. He finally received his food and it was a big platter. He was shocked because he didn’t order that big of a platter. But, he ate it. The quality was good, but that’s it. What are we going to do - send it back. I finally asked about the miso. Average soup and not so good. Needed something more but not sure what. Finally, lunch was coming to an end and I asked for the check. Let me just say that platter was not worth the $90 alone we got charged! No prices on the menu or not… not worth that price. Maybe $60 - and that’s a hard maybe. I was out right shocked. I would have never guessed our bill was going to be $118 for what we received. I would not go back here because of that. I appreciate the staff for sure but after that - you only get one chance to make an impression on me. Nope, that’s it. All in all not very impressed and wouldn’t recommend. That’s just my opinion.

While in the valley, my daughter and I craved sushi. While searching for sushi in Northridge, Agua Chiles Sushi Bar popped up, and we made our way. Agua Chiles Sushi Bar is located in a shopping center in Northridge. We were able to find parking quickly and walked a few steps in. When we entered, we were able to sit anywhere we wanted. We scanned the QR to view the menu and ordered garlic edamame, gyoza, Agua chiles roll, California roll, rainbow roll, and a side of rice. The garlic edamame was delicious, and the Agua chiles roll was different. I can’t say the same for the other items. The gyozas were mediocre, and the Cali and rainbow rolls were not it. My daughter LOVES Cali rolls and for her to not eat them and say they were gross tells you a lot. She only ate 1 out of 8. The presentation of the Cali roll was messy and looked like everything was just thrown in. The rainbow roll wasn’t the best either. I couldn’t finish it; something was off. I appreciate the Mexican and Sushi fusion. It’s a great concept! But I think the issue for me was that I’m used to authentic sushi, and I know what good quality sushi tastes like. Unfortunately, this was not even close. However, I had excellent service, they had good music playing, and our food came out in a timely manner. I might only come back for the garlic edamame.

Cool place to eat but this is one of those restaurants that take something that's not broken and "fixes" it. In this instance it's traditional Japanese sushi. They have custom house sauces (non traditional) and throw it on the rolls and in my case submerged it so now I'm eating a soggy, wet roll that's falling apart. The roll was so gross I didn't take a picture of it. The picture I have is of the halibut nigiri! Which you can't fuxk up because it's rice and fish. Also all of their rolls are expensive

So i have to say ive never had a worse experience than what just happened to me at Agua Chiles in Northridge and All This Could Have Been Prevented. They have a thursday special starting at 5:00pm and offer an all you can eat experience with some items excluded on the menu but you would think they would clearly point this out to you ??? So for our first time being there we let them know we were eating for our first time and were there for the special. We placed our order and were there for about 30 minutes before anything came out and mind you there is a time limit to eat so obviously they made us wait a while impacting the rest of the time we had to have a relaxed meal. The first few items came out and the temperature of the sushi was luke warm, not cold not hot but luke warm and was not cool like traditional sushi should be which in itself raises the question as to its freshness. The server then came out and said some of the items we ordered were not part of the all you can eat and gave us the option to cancel those specific items which we did so that there was no confusion moving forward. The food continued to come out at a fast pace giving us about 40 minutes to eat what we ordered and some of the items were ok but most items were loaded with sauces that overwhelmed the impact of the actual sushi itself and on an overall scale of 1-10 i’d give it a 5 as to its quality but my overall rating taken in to consideration what happened to us is a “1” Our bill came out after we were done and it was 150.00 apprx to which the special was supposed to be 45.99 per person so roughly close to 100.00 with tax. They charged us for extra items that were not part of the special clearly knowing we were there for only the items included in the special and we asked ahead of time to only serve us items on the special menu and anything that wasn’t please let us know while we are ordering to avoid any confusion or issues and what was more alarming is when we asked to speak to a manager none was on the site and not one employee would understand that we felt taken advantage of and in this day and age we had all the right to simply walk out however i’m 55 years old and have character and a conscience and when you do your best to be polite during a moment that you feel taken advantage of you have to recognize that ignorance plays a roll in the people that your having dialogue with that donot see the bigger picture and that reputation plays a big role and standards of a restaurant that wants to make customers happy especially first timers in your place so they want to come back and spread the word At some point you just have to allow restaurants to figure it out the hard way and as far as “Agua Chiles” I will never recommend it to Anyone in fact i strongly caution that you clearly continue to ask questions when you order so they donot give you a bill that is outrageous and above and beyond the special price that they advertise because theres several sushi restaurants in the same area that 152.00 would give a much more happier and fresher experience not to mention straight forward I now know why only 6 other people were dining during dinner time in a restaurant that could accommodate over 40. Id strongly encourage You to Avoid This Place for its quality and customer care even though the servers were respectful and courteous i get the feeling they’ve heard similar complaints based on their context already having an answer to my concern as if it was repeated before so i dont foresee this restaurant surviving long term after what we just went through and experienced I’m very upset and all could have been handled much differently but fell on deaf ears but the customers inside certainly took notice and judging by their context started looking at the menu and i can only hope they were spared and got out paying the price advertised Rating is a “1” out of 10 PASS This One As There’s Better Places These Days That Value Customers !!! I post this to help others that work hard for their money and only want to have a great dining...

The food is great here, but thi sis the second time I make phone order and they get it wrong. The first time I ordered the all you can eat to go, I wanted fried onion and fresh jalapeno slices and they gave me fresh onions with other veggies on order. This second time I ordered the aguachiles platter and I also asked for fried onion on my order an they got it wrong again. I was told by the employee that was giving me my order that it wasn't specified on the order or who ever took the order didn't put the receipt. So I asked who the person was that took my order was and said it Marisa or something like that and that she was the manager. Like she couldn't of made a mistake like that. She started giving me an attitude and said I had to wait 15min if wanted my order with fried onion like I had ask for over the phone, like it was my fault. So I waited and then after like 10min she comes back with my platter and asks if that's how I wanted my platter and said yes yes and mentioned again that that was the second I order and the same thing happened again ( why does it keep happening) and she has the nerve to tell me "well do you want it or not" and I responded " yes, it's me and my wife's anniversary and wanted to surprise her with this meal and I'm just getting out of work so I'm really hungry" so she tells me well you grab this at put what ever you want, which was the card reader for the transaction. I grabbed it put my pin and the it asks if you want leave a tip so obviously I put NO. Before I left I asked who the manager was and she answered the same name Marisa or what ever that name was, so that's how I knew that the person who took my order wrong or forgot to mention to them that I wanted fried onion with fresh jalapeno slices on top was the manager. I left pretty upset but kept my cool while was dealing with all this. That's the reason I'm giving the 3 star rating, because of the rude employee with the blue colored hair and the order being wrong twice. It must have been shark week for her and I dont think that's anyone's faul but like I said the food is great and the wife loves sushi so for that reason i would return to this restaurant but i would not want that same person to serve or give my order. Hope you all enjoy your meals at this restaurant and get better service...

Honestly I’ve been coming here for more than a few years and every single time I come here the service is absolutely terrible however I really like the food, last night I invited a bunch of my coworkers out here and we experienced the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any other restaurant, first off the menu doesn’t include any of the prices your better checking online to make sure that you’re okay with what you’re paying for but regardless we knew somewhat of what we were ordering everything was fine until closer to the end of the meal when the server started to make mistakes with our food, 24.99 for yellow tail for 2pc and then again 24.99 for a 8pc is ridiculous meanwhile we ordered a second round of rolls and when the server brings me the roll tells me that this is a valley roll confidently and I let her know this isn’t a valley roll ( I ordered the same roll prior for my first roll) and brought me something completely different but instead of offering it to the table proceeded to offer it to another table then took another 20 mins for my roll for it to be half made like 50% of the roll was missing because they wanted to rush it out. Then when we first ordered we got spicy garlic edamame that took 35 mins to come out meanwhile everyone’s entrees had already come out. I don’t blame the server because I feel as she was doing her best but the other person whom seemed to be the manager was the problem when we told him about the rolls & the check he made a loud grunting sound like he was annoyed mind you there was only one other table with us in the restaurant but when receiving the check is when we decided that this was just ridiculous. My friends check was split into multiple items like a 1/2 coke 1/2 coke 1/2 dragon roll 1/2 dragon roll and also insisted on doing a gratuity tip, then proceeded to hand my other friend two separate checks when she only needed one so that she’d have to double tip. As much as I love the food here the service continues to keep getting worse. Please rethink...
