Today’s brunch at Saint & Second was everything a must try. The dinners are just as incredible. 🍴✨ #saintandsecond #foodtok #brunch #woodlandhills

Aug 2025 Dinner Redemption Update After visiting one more time for dinner on a weeknight, I've upped the rating to 4 stars, and upping the food to 4 stars. Definitely far better Hostess this evening, and a better assistant manager. Customer service definitely is overall better than the brunch we had about a month ago on sunday. I would say this place is a Solid 4 stars. I still feel like the prices need to come down just a touch, maybe 20% across the board. But for having given this place a second chance, I would say it's definitely better to come for dinner. If I had to summarize this place, I would say it's one notch above say a Cheesecake Factory, but below a fancy Steakhouse like Larson's. July 2025 I wouldn't come back here. Nothing special. Service: 5 stars. "Love," our waitress took really good care of us. No complaints there. BUT... 1. Over $200 for breakfast for 6 people? Is that the new normal? 2. Front desk hostess, attitude? Oh my god, asked for a table, ended up getting the whole "those are reserved for reservations" line, WITH an attitude. What was more upsetting was that we were there for about an hour, and not one of those 4 or 5 tables that was "reserved" was ever used. We could have sat at a table, ate, and been out of there before any reservations arrived. My note to corporate headquarters that is reading this, please retrain your Hostess on the process of reservation protocol, especially when it's not going to be used for at least an hour. 3. Prices: ridiculously expensive, especially for breakfast items. $17 for a chunk of lettuce with the little dressing on top, void of protein! We didn't even order drinks, because they were $22. Seriously? Make up your mind, is this a fancy nightclub, or is it a brunch spot? I think you're trying to blend two different things here, and it's not going very well for you. 4. Food: so so at best. Tri Tip Hash: the tri tip was few and far between, and it was overcooked, well done, tough to chew and leathery. French Toast: $20 for French toast? And there's nothing special about it. basically just one huge dish of disappointment. The Wedge: where is the meat? It was served like a half an iceberg lettuce, with no visible other ingredients in sight. They skimped on the proteins. Crumbled egg? Where? Presentation is everything, hello? Biscut & Gravy: the gravy was over spiced, too much salt and too much cumin. The biscuit was charred at the bottom, deep, dark brown in the worst way possible. Breakfast sandwich? You call that a breakfast sandwich? Lifeless, nothing special going on there, especially for the price they're charging. 5. Parking: they're only saving grace. They do validate for an extra hour and a half on top of the hour and a half for free you get in the structure in the back of the mall. It is a bit of a trudge to get from the parking structure to the front door. Recap: The attitude of the hostess, that alone gives me enough reason not to ever come back to this establishment ever again. The food was so so, what I really want to say here is that it was lousy, especially for the price that you're paying. To Love, the waitress, I hope you find employment at a better establishment, that serves better food. You deserve it! To corporate office, there are some serious issues at this place that need to be fixed. 1. Namely, drop your prices 25% across the board to at least compete with other places in the area. 2. Definitely give your Hostess an attitude adjustment. 3. Train your kitchen staff on how to properly cook, season, and check for doneness of the food they're serving. 4. Why didn't we send the food back, why didn't we ask for a refund? Because your hostess was giving us that Attitude, and we didn't want to make a scene. It's okay, you took my money this time. But hopefully everyone reading this gets the message, and doesn't give you any of their money. Will I be back. Heck no! And to anyone reading this who is visiting from out of town, or considering going here, give them at least 3 to 6 months to get their act together.

Ok where do i start, how about i had a bug moving in my food and paid for it. Was my Fiance birthday, and they tried masking it with a terrible banana creme pie. I ordered hakushu japanese whiskey for $32 on the menu, It was priced at $42 on the bill and manager made excuses for it ALLL. Look at the pics i posted below and decide for yourself. And i was nice enough to pay after this HORRENDOUS visit We sit down, i ask for kaiyo japanese whiskey, manager shows me the spirit list, i point to what i want $32. They take 20mins and the servers comes back Saying itll be longer, I say cancel it, we are good to just order food. 10mins later the manager comes with my whiskey. To be nice, I accept. We order the charcuterie , We order 3 different meats, they bring us 2 of the same kind. Least of my worries, we keep it. My Fiance orders Lobster Risotto and i get the branzino. Before server walks away, we throw in a wedge salad before the food comes out. NEVER got the salad. Our food comes out, i take a few bites, i go in for a 3rd and my fiance says "stop..theres a bug moving" . i spit my food out and record the bug moving. The manager comes and blames it on having fresh veggies, on a hot plate? as in i should be ok with this bug sharing my food. I tell him i dont want it , ill just finish my drink we have somewhere to be. He insists that he really wants to take care of me and get me something else. So i say, just give me the same branzino no veggies togo. Again, we have somewhere to be. Server brings out the togo, i ask for the check. She insists they are giving us free dessert, its my fiances birthday so i would hope they would do the bare mínimum. They drop the check, and not only did they charge me for the togo branzino i didnt want, they also over charged me for the whiskey. Bill said $42 menu said $32, showed the manager and he said menu discrepancies??? they have been open for 6months, you would THINK they would have that figured out by now, so be sure to check your bills. I waited 20mins to get the whiskey and manager said "sorry couldnt find the bottle". And the pricing was wrong Manager comes over after i paid, I point it out to them that their menu is wrong, however at that point. Give me my receipt ill deal with this tomorrow . I leave the togo branzino on the table because as i expressed 3 times, we have plans after who wants fish sitting in the car in a togo bag? We leave the togo bag on the table and go. I leave hungry, disgusted, and cheated. I will be calling corporate . I paid $200 for charcuterie , 1 japanese whiskey... shared a brazino with a live moving bug, lobster risotto didnt finish because obviously , who would trust that food and management . They truly did not care . We both are left sick and disgusted Go to yelp for videos

I have been excited to eat here because I really like the original Long Beach. Met a friend here for a dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was pretty empty and the inside of the restaurant quite beautiful. I love the big tree in the back.

Service was good to start very attentive, took our drinks in our order and a quickly and kind manner .

We had waited almost 20 to 30 minutes and had gotten our food and had not heard from a server so we knew something was going on with the order, and after we realized how long we’ve been waiting, our server did come back and tell us there had been an error or something and we said OK not a problem.

We had ordered an appetizer to share. My friend had ordered a salad, and I had ordered the steak when the food finally came. Everything came at once. So the steak was cold in for me it was under done and it took forever for someone to come check on me and I asked it to be fired and they brought me a new plate. I hate wasting food but I appreciate working to get it correct but the steak was played different. I’ve gone to the salad on the steak and the tomatoes and cucumbers and stuff all feel like they had been prepped away in advance and were soft and mushy. Our server didn’t really check back in on us and by the time they did, I said hey, I still didn’t like the steak but I ate it because I was hungry.

In general, nothing here blow me away, which is such a disappointment because I thought I was gonna have a new spot .

I did share this information via the website over a month ago and I haven’t heard anything back . I guess the Long Beach location just gives a different impression of the quality of food in the service. I was excited about the Manhattan beach location too, but I think I might give it one try but I’ll go to my...
