The owner of this coffee shop came across as extremely pushy and rude, even though I remained polite throughout the interaction. We were simply waiting for a few friends to arrive before ordering, but she immediately approached us and pressured us into purchasing.
At one point, we were looking to use the Wi-Fi, and she mentioned we would have to buy something. I nodded respectfully and instead stepped outside to use my own hotspot. I didnât realize their policy was that every single person had to buy a drink just to stay within the coffee premises. When she later walked up to us outside, she handed us menus. My partner politely said she could leave them, but she immediately followed up by saying it was âa drink per personâ and reminded us this was a business. Her tone felt more like an ultimatum: buy something right now or leave.
We hadnât even been given the space to think or wait for our friends before being forced into a decision. It felt unwelcoming and unnecessarily aggressive. We chose to leave rather than give our money to a place that treats potential customers this way. Overall, a rude and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this...

The place itself is such a vibe: total LA creative energy. Think six people on laptops, one guy sketching in an art book, a girl writing a script, and another guy mixing music. Chill lo-fi R&B playing, and everyone in the room (staff + patrons) looked like they could walk a runway.
I got an iced ceremonial matcha latte with almond milk and their seasonal strawberry purĂ©e (genius). I sucked it down so fast I literally forgot to take a pictureâno regrets. I originally wanted the paleo breakfast plate but they were out, so I went with the pear ricotta toast instead (pic included!) and wow⊠good as hell. Rich, creamy, freshâno notes.
Also grabbed the keto vegan tiramisu protein chia bowl to go (also pictured) because how could I not?
10/10 would come back. This spot has that perfect post-pilates, âlet me write my pilot script while sipping adaptogensâ kinda...
Read moreOn the corner of Colfax and moorpark, this chic lil cafe is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. I had one of their mushroom coffees (Chagaccino) and it changed my life. Iâm a better person because of that coffee. Latte art on fleek. While youâre there, grab one of their incredible Argentinian pastries and a crĂ©me de pistachio which Iâd never heard of before but felt fancy saying so I bought one and am happy I did, because it, too, changed my life. They have many vegan and gluten free options for those of you with tummy troubles and a clean bathroom if you had tummy troubs prior to arriving. The icing on this Argentinian cake is the atmosphere, service and smile it provides. Ditch Starbucks, and give your business to someone that deserves...
