Excellent food. I was the only customer in the place not of Middle Eastern descent. For me, thats an excellent sign that the food is very good. I got the combo with chicken, beef, and kafta kabobs. All were very good. Tender meat that tastes fresh. Cooked just right. Chicken and beef were very juicy. Beef was not fatty. The hummus was excellent. Creamy and well balanced flavors. Cabbage salad is excellent as well. A favorite! Falafel were seasoned well but a bit greasy for me taste. Tabouli is a must every time I go. Overall, the blend of flavors in all the food is excellent. Very good balance of flavors in their recipes. I've been here many times through the years and I've never been disappointed. Storefront place with indoor seating only. I always do take-out but the staff is still very attentive. Parking lot is pretty small, so I can see parking being difficult during busy times of day.

The food was scrumptious, the atmosphere familiar and relaxed, and the service just right. I had the Kibbeh Labanieh - I have never tried it or anything quite like it before, and I was not disappointed - the produced-in-house yogurt had a wonderful flavor and texture and the kibbeh balls were quite good - a cross of comfort food and complex spicing. My friend had the kafta kabobs and was kind enough to share with me - we spent some time discussing and trying to determine how they managed to keep the meat so juicy in what is often a fairly dry kabob variety at other restaurants. Just excellent - it was the best instance of kafta I have ever eaten. I think my favorite item was the hummus - it was rich and creamy with a generous amount of sesame tahini and an overall delightful flavor. I plan to go back whenever I have reason to be in that area of LA - everything was excellent.

On my first visit, I was welcomed by Salim (the owner) with a friendly handshake. I tried the combo kabobs, and the quality of the ingredients stood out immediately. The kabobs were tender and oozing with juice, with just the right amount of char and smokiness to bring out their depth and flavor. The salad was crisp and very watery. The hummus was light, silky, and delicate without too much seasoning. I also liked how the rice was light — not too salty or buttery like some places. My Arnold Palmer was refreshing and not overly sweet. Everything felt intentionally flavored to offer impact without that heavy, overwhelming feeling afterward. After a hearty meal, I felt light and satisfied. Really happy with this spontaneous find, and I’ll definitely be back to complete their entire menu.

Fairly certain this was my first Lebanese experience! while visiting a friend who lived in the area, we strolled up on a saturday afternoon for lunch and were welcomingly greeted by the entire staff (its always a good thing to dine with a local regular everyone knows). i always follow suit with the what the locals get, and i was told its all about the chicken shawarma. shawarma it is!

The plates all come with hefty portions of cabbage salad, several pieces of pita bread, and their famous creamy hummus. loved the salad - crisp, fresh, light. the hummus was probably one of the most flavorful and creamy hummus ive had, and quite dangerous to sample before having the meal arrive (appetite spoiler!). the chicken was tasty...but based on being carved off that massive spit i thought it was gonna be more succulent and moist. i thought it was a tad dry. but all the same, i understand why this plate is all the rage.

The price for a lunch is a bit on the high side but given you get so much included and basically a 2nd meal out of it,...

When I go out for food, I try to find the healthiest food for the best deal possible. Skaf's portions always fill me up and I still somehow manage to have food to take home. I really enjoy the Hommus and Baba Ghannouj to eat my Falafels with because I'm a weird eater like that. I like to cover my Falafels with either (Hommus or the Baba Ghannouj) before eating them instead of using the sauce they provide. I tend to order the Grape Leaves when I really want to have extra food to go (Lunch for the next day!!) which is the best I have ever had!! Besides the Grape Leaves my second favorite MUST have with my meal is the Tabbouli.

If you are Vegetarian (like myself) I totally recommend you try the #14 combo plate. Very filling and it comes with everything I mentioned above (except it doesn't come with Grape Leaves. That's considered a cold appetizer.)

**Side note about the Grape Leaves. You can request them to come out warm, if you happen to stop in on a cold night. They are even better then!!) Yummy. Now I'm thinking of heading...

Skaf's grill is simply put "The Best Lebanese Restaurant" in LA. I am a former trained chef and started out in NYC which has some of the best food in the world. Skaf's holds its own not only in LA but NYC and Lebanon.

The Food: The baba ganoush is fantastic and the best I have ever had. Smokey, chunky, creamy and tangy, it goes well with a special order of fried pita bread. The cabbage salad with lemon dressing is light, refreshing and cleansing. Chicken, Beef, Lamb and Shrimp Skewers, are grilled to perfection and always come with tasty pickled radishes and olives. The garlic sauce is perfection. This spread is so good it should be bottled and sold at the local market. It is sharp and pungent adding to the perfectly balanced dishes and specials of the day like Whole fried Bass, Stuffed peppers, and vegetarian dishes. Skaf's has great service combined with fantastic food at a moderate price! Skaf's uses the freshest foods available and has a loyal following. Once you try this eatery you'll be a loyal...
