Taco Plus — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I eat at Taco Plus quite often. The food is always good and they usually are not stingy on the portion sizes. Specially when u order the Gigante burrito. I usually go to the Bundy and Santa Monica location. This night I was in Culver City. I was in a bit of a hurry and it was already about 9:45. So I figured I would just go to the National location. By the time i walked in and ordered, I noticed that the cook was already cleaning the grill. When I got my food it was a few minutes before closing time. Needless to say, the Gigante burrito was pretty much the same size as a regular burrito and there was just extra tortilla folded at the ends. There was also almost no meat in my burrito. I guess it was closing time and the didn’t feel like cooking more meat. At first I didn’t want to say anything and I just told my self I would never go there again. But then I changed my mind and called them expressing my disappointment in the food. The nice girl behind the register apologized and promised me another burrito to make up for the mistake. Normally I like this place. The service is great and they are quick. The prices are also reasonable so it's a good go to spot. I usually get the California burrito which is solid. This time started no different but I got the California burrito with carnitas instead of asada and I do not recommend that for anyone. The burrito was salty and filled with oil. So much that it soaked through the foil and bag and got on my car seat. It pooled on the plate as I ate it at home. I don't like to waste so I still ate it but I won't get carnitas from there again. Almost embarrassed to admit how much i eat at this place. My wife is a gone at night a lot for work so a quick delicious burrito is my “go to” when i have a busy night with the kids. I buy it on the way home, throw it in the oven on 165° and once the kiddos are asleep i chow down. The veggie burrito is on point for me with lots of bell pepper, onion sour cream, guacamole, extra rice and beans.
