The Pastor's Grill — Restaurant in Los Angeles

New spot I pass by here and there and stopped in one day. Tried the Al Pastor Bowl and my kid had a quesadilla. Both were excellent and flavorful. My teen said it’s one of his favs as far as the quesadilla goes, I couldn’t even get a picture before it was all gone! Everything was fresh even by a 10minutes drive home. The cashier was pleasant and friendly I forgot her name unfortunately but she is the one this review goes to as she was very knowledgeable in the menu and pick two fantastic options to try for the first time. She did rave about the Torta’s but I’m not much for them. She let me sample the Homemade Agra’s and the Chia Limon Pepino was THE absolute best in my opinion. Tried a cookie and it had the perfect combo of soft and chewy to crispy edge. Decent prices among other common restaurants. You can dine in if you want. I so wanted these tacos to be delicious and was so looking forward to the DoorDash delivery. They arrived in less than 15 minutes! As a 4.8 rated DoorDash “find” expectation was high opening that bag… Unfortunately… This is absolutely the worst taco experience ever of my life, completely inedible. The carnitas were unidentifiable as pork or as carnitas. The chicken was dried and coated in some kind of revolting spice mixture that seemed to be some kind of commercial product. A sourish flavor ran through it as well. The rice you might expect to find in a school cafeteria at best. The taco shells themselves were orange and coated in an orange reddish oil drenched every bit of this meal aside from the beans is inedible. The refried beans were good and that's it. I’ve been seeing this place for ages because I live fairly close and drive by it weekly, I was having a craving for some tacos and decided to pop in and see what they were about.

Small shop with plenty of seating. Service was warm and welcoming.

I had the fish taco platter, which came with a salad . I ordered a Al Pastor store and Asada taco separately.

The fish tacos were amazing, I would come back just to try the tacos again . The Al Pastor and Asada taco were fairly dry but still enjoyable.

I wasn’t sure what the name of the placement, but it has some sort of religious affiliation and playing Christian music. So it’s even better if you need a little bit of Jesus...
