My recent visit to The Spot Lounge was unfortunately overshadowed by Bobby's unprofessional conduct as the manager. His inappropriate language and lack of professionalism raised concerns about his suitability for the managerial position. Despite multiple available tables, three of which were indoors, our group of five at 1 am was denied seating indoors and placed in a poorly lit outdoor corner. Rain dripping onto my friend's head from an unprotected tent further dampened our experience. When we attempted to address these issues with Bobby, he dismissively stated no service was available, suggesting we wait on a waitlist at an unconventional hour. Disheartened by this, we reluctantly returned to the outdoor seating. Our efforts to order were thwarted by staff following the manager's directive not to serve us. Bobby's attitude and the establishment's apparent disregard for FDA standards, as seen in attached pictures, prompted me to report these concerns. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. I hope an audit is conducted soon, and improvements are made to address the issues with service and overall quality.

Amazing food and ambiance. I came during lunch on a Wednesday afternoon @2:00 pm as I am writing this post. I had to stop/pause eating to make sure I write my true feelings. The food is amazing, Hookah was recommended by one of the staff and it really tasty and good. Lasted for 30 Minutes so far. Wow! Love it love it. Approved and Recommended by @Moody360TV™️®️©️ I came here on another day and I noticed that the bathroom is always cleaned and stocked which is very rare at a hookah lounge. It is safe for a girl to come alone to enjoy hookah, food, tea, study or work during the day because it is amazing with the sound of the water fountain downstairs in the court yard of the shopping center.

The service and staff were warm and welcoming, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. I ordered the Sultani kabobs—while the Koobideh lacked flavor and didn’t meet my expectations in terms of quality, the Barg was noticeably better and more enjoyable. The complimentary tea refills were a thoughtful touch, and the portion sizes were generous—easily enough for two people. Both the salad and rice were fresh and satisfying. It’s worth noting that many guests seemed to come primarily for the hookah and tea, which adds to the laid-back, social vibe of the place. The place is open until midnight and is busy at night.

Man I rarely ever do reviews but the hostess/my waitress at The Spot at 12:30AM on Thursday, August 31st (Wednesday night) had just such little manners or common social sense it actually had me dumbfounded. This is how the exact interaction went and any manager can contact me and I’ll explain to them over the phone even cuz I hate Karen’s, but man I could not wait to be one tonight.

I walk to the hostess. She Ignores me for a minute straight So I’m thinking maybe this place is self seating. So I ask politely to clarify. She just says I’ll be with you in a minute. Which this is fine. I’m polite. I’m patient. No issues. But in this time I notice the coworkers are like aggressively talking to each other. This is when I felt something was off about this place. But I was hungry. So I’ll stick to this place.

Same Hostess asks for my ID as Im already walking to my seat she told me I can go sit at. I’m a grown man so I joke if I look underage lol. I assume she didn’t hear me from her no reaction so I just repeated it again jokingly and now I knew she heard me and ignored completely. Admittedly a small talk lame joke but ignoring completely is just lack of social skills and if my vibe is off, I could just feel like you don’t deserve a good tip for the lame atmosphere you already created for me. But even that was whatever. I just wanted food.

The problem was after I sat down and she came to take my order. Before I can say that it’s my first time at the place since I’m a traveler, she immediately with a princess-snobby like attitude said, “you can’t have outside drinks here. you need to throw it away.” Verbatim. No pleasant delivery. Just no manners. I had an Arizona iced tea from the gas station because I’m traveling and I’m thirsty. Duh. And I’m clearly going to be buying food and drinks at a restaurant. How does it even make sense. So I said I’ll just finish it now. And then she said “ok well then you need to throw it away after.” Little girl. Who taught you your manners. Idk if she got mental issues or something but she got like the lowest social skills I’ve seen in LA in my 8 trips here. I’ve brought beverages inside hookah/restaurants in seattle where I’m from so idk if LA is different but just a common sense, well mannered explanation with a pleasant tone is what a mentally normal adult does.

I’m not writing this to get her fired. I’m writing this so someone in management can train her with some manners from the beginner fundamentals cuz she clearly needs it for this career path. The worst part is, simping runs even in the depths of business management in America. Idk who hired her in the beginning. Idk how someone gets this far for this type of character or lack of. And idk if they’ll even see her at fault cuz the ppl in management are so wired to protect even the most toxic hostess/waitress.

I just ate fast food after and took my support for a business elsewhere cuz of this one employee smh. Bad for...

Myself and a few friends recently visited The Spot Lounge. Unfortunately, we had the worst experience ever and I am writing this review for the benefit of others who may be better off spending their valuable time and money somewhere else.

First, the whole store is quite dirty and sloppy. As we entered through the parking lot in a rainy evening, dirty water was standing every where including on the steps which were very slippery and definitely a safety hazard with no alarming signs. The lounge itself was very sloppy: the floors were all dirty and muddy continued as one could see through the kitchen door which was wide open. Multiple big dirty water tanks were kept next to the kitchen area and where all the hokkas are and this raises a serious concern for ordering and eating food in this place. I am pretty sure that an FDA inspection will reveal multitude of apparent violations of required health practices in this place where food is served.

Second, in terms of customer service, after presenting our request for being seated in a sheltered area to be safe from rain and a bit warmer, they rejected even though multiple tables were empty with no reservation signs on them. As we insisted, a Bobby-named guy emerged saying that he is the manager: we gently requested the same and instead of reasonably explaining why he could not help, he loudly said that he won't serve us at all. After asking about the reason, he started ranting and swearing like a gang person. Bobby was not even working and he was seating smoking hokka with his friends. It is quite unfortunate for the business owner that he has appointed this guy as the manager because he is an apparent threat to the business flow and operation. The way he treats customers should speak to the fact that he would be treating the employees far worse with minimal respect as we witnessed him shouting and ranting on the poor guy who helped us upon our arrival. Overall, very negative experience on the customer service presented by The Spot staff, especially Bobby, and all these were upon a very polite and simple request for being seated in a sheltered area with multitude of empty tables. Their behavior was quite unnecessary and this request is so simple that any other intelligent manager or business owner would gladly grant to leave the customer with a positive outlook and will for return.

The whole experience, including the sloppiness of the lounge and kitchen area as well as the poor, impolite, gang-style behavior of the staff, especially Bobby, speaks to level of care that this place wills to expend for the customer. That reflects itself in the poor quality of food, hokka, and the profile of the managing personnel. Strongly recommend you to spend your valuable time and money somewhere else where it is neat and the staff present good...

This is a real life review that my friend put on here but the business owner paid Yelp to have it erased I think everyone would like to know this piece of information

""This is a place where the owner(Bobby) seems to have a lot of mental issues ane of which is"committing battery" by throwing the table, chairs, hookah, charcoal, glassware and etc at the customers. The incident happened on May 8th,2016 at 1.45 am. I already filed a police report and once i'm contacted by detectives, i will definitely update all you guys. really think that this is a matter of safety and ill do my best to bring this guy to justice makin sure that he pays for the damages that i incurred(he broke my Samsung Galaxy S6 into pieces!) Once i have more news, i would definitely update everyone. I'm having my fingers crossed for getting a copy of the video(i'm not sure if this is feasible but ill give it a shot). Once i get thati would definitely post it here because this would be the only way that we can prevent such incidents in the future. Finally, i was called a"rapist" and"heroin addict" in front of everyone well, the passage of time will prove who is what. This will leave me with no option but to list the type of illegal activities going on in this place, however, i will keep everyone posted once i have more valid concrete piece...
