Play Make Create by Meri Cherry — Attraction in Los Angeles

This beautiful studio is filled with natural light and gorgeous artwork by children. I can't imagine anyone entering the space and not just lighting up with a smile. I attended a workshop put on by Meri Cherry herself and left feeling so inspired and refreshed. I am an elementary and middle school art teacher and was hoping to get some ideas for supply management and "invitations to play" for my younger students. I left with so many ideas!! We got to do several staple activities they do with children (collaborative murals, potions, mask making, self portraits on canvas, etc.) and it was a blast. I can't even imagine how much fun kids must have here. It's got to be off the charts. We LOVE Meri Cherry Art studio! My kids are in absolute heaven when they walk through the doors. We love the "free for all" times when we can come in and use any materials to create whatever we want. My kids love using the paint, the stickers, the tape, the glue, the buttons, cardboard boxes, recycled materials, and everything else this awesome space has to offer. My daughter loves the Meri Cherry store, but the inconsistent hours and activities make it hard to pin down a time in which I can join. I swung by the store to see if I can pick up a kit, but was closed and turning into a coffee shop. The vibe I get from the customers is a bit snooty.
