Honestly, this franchise WAS my favorite and maybe other locations are still good but today I was sorely disappointed. I ordered a guiltless burrito and asked for avocado and a couple sides of verde salsa. When they brought it out, the chick called it something else and I got scared and said I have food allergies and asked if it was the guiltless burrito, she said it was, it didn’t look like it was. The sauce she brought wasn’t verde either so asked for verde, she then went and got a different sauce that did not look like the verde sauce. She said that I must have been thinking of their cilantro avocado dressing, but ensured me she had just given me verde. I tested it with my finger and tasted and said that she just gave me said dressing and I’d really like the verde sauce. She finally brought and told me it was tomatillo salsa… I said they are the same things, verde is made from tomatillos. The extra avocado I paid for didn’t make it into the burrito, the stem of the avocado did maybe a teaspoon or less of guacamole… the chicken only existed in one bite, I felt like all That was actually in this burrito was cauliflower rice, black beans and vegan cheese. I don’t feel so good after eating it either. I may never go to Tocaya ever again, certainly NEVER this one. Y’all need to train your people better, cooks and staff lack competence. With how much it cost, you think you could at least make it a good & delicious experience. Also, I would have tried to get a refund but having to wait for the right sauce after she tried to give me 4 of the wrong sauces made me almost late for work. I don’t need to lose my job...
Read moreDo you like enjoying your food that you spend money on? Do you like cashiers and busboys that genuinely smile, listen, cater to your needs, and make you feel welcome? Do you like having tequila with your Mexican food? If you answered yes to any of these, stop reading my review and start your journey to this restaurant! They have vegan and vegetarian options, and their food is 100% made with love. I could tell when I was savoring the fresh ingredients in my mouth that the cook likes what he/she does for a living. I get the sense the employees are paid well here, based off of how laid back and happy they are. Also the cashier, Max, was incredibly sweet when he listened to me vent about my life which he didn't have to do. I'm just a Karen having a meltdown in public and he still nodded in understanding and validated my issues. 😁 it was fairly priced and honestly I was surprised at what I spent for what I got, in a good way; the food is amazing and the drinks are delicious! Forget the taco trucks -...
Read moreI ordered take-out and I saw the person in the kitchen come out and ask if the order was right. I stayed behind to see if everythong was ok. The person who took my order looked at me and said, "you're good". I drove home to discovered that there was a mistake with the order. They gave me something completely different along with cheese which I told them I had a dairy allergy. Drove back, another 15 minutes to get what I actually ordered and when I got there the people in the front ran to the kitchen. I am only assuming they knew why I came back. The manager immediately came to the register ( not the person orginally that took my order) and asked me if something was wrong and this is when i explained the whole story, she did not once say I'm sorry instead she proceeded to brush over the scenario and just proceeded to take the new order. The is unacceptable customet service and a total disregard and a total disregard of...
