New spot in Echo Park for Japanese food including sushi, rolls, ramen, teriyaki and more.

Food and service is fantastic! We tried a bunch of their appetizers including brussel sprouts, spicy garlic edamame, chicken karaage, spicy tuna over crispy rice and avocado over crispy rice. My favorites were the brussel sprouts and tuna over crispy rice. For entrees we tried the mayu tonkotsu ramen and the omega roll. Both were very good.

Pricing for all the dishes were very fair and comparable to other Japanese kitchens in Los Angeles.

I really enjoy the atmosphere in here. Nothing pretentious in here. Clean dining area and restrooms. Parking is very convenient as this restaurant since it's on a shared parking lot.

So excited to have this new sushi spot in Echo Park! There really aren’t many casual sushi options in the neighborhood with reasonable pricing, so this feels like a much-needed addition.

I ordered takeout today- Nigiri (salmon, albacore, tuna, yellowtail) and one of their rolls. Everything was excellent. The fish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. Staff was very friendly on the phone and during pickup. It only took 20 minutes for my order.

The team at Tora even makes takeout a lovely experience. I had a really nice time going to visit Tora in person for lunch with my dad the other day and then last night we ordered from them again. We got takeout to bring back to a big group, and when I called in the service was super friendly, they got us everything that we needed, double checked the order, and the food was great at the end of it.
