Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I hate this place, every time I come there is a problem from under cooked cinnamon rolls to them trying to over charge you for things you didn’t order. I ordered a strawberry smoothie and the woman tried to charge me for a chilla which is coffee based drink and m told me that’s what I ordered when I’m clearly getting handed a strawberry smoothie with milk and what really blew my mind is that they don’t even offer “chillas” in a strawberry flavor!!. Time before that I ordered a cinnamon roll and I had to exchange it 4 times because each one was not cooked completely I settled for a glazed donut with out getting the $2 difference refunded and she told me there’s no price difference from a $4 cinnamon roll and a $2 glazed donut. This will be the last they get any money from me!! Normalize taking your business elsewhere if you’re not appreciated or treated with respect...

Not only do they have 3 people behind the counter... but all 3 barely speak english.. luckily I speak 4 languages and was able to help some of the customers after me with their orders.. I ordered an AVOCADO bacon melt bagel... I paid 7 dollars for it to NOT have any AVOCADO! And didn't realize until I got home!.. smh... please make sure to add avocado if it has avocado in it!.. and it might help to hire someone who speaks both English and Spanish fluently!!.. people were leaving frustrated and a lot has to do with the language barrier... also make sure that the cashiers know the menu so they dont charge people the...

THEIR SODA MACHINE IS WATERED DOWN AT THE MOMENT, AND NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH Only certain things are available at this location. I tried getting a chilla and was told they only had banana and strawberry. I would not recommend their strawberry raspado, very sweet and strong taste of artificial strawberry. The flavoring they use has the same consistency of jelly. The meal deals are worth it, especially when accompanied with their fruit juices or iced coffee.
