Terrible!!! I moved from Baton Rouge 4 months ago and waited for an opportunity to eat Jambalaya in the place that “was” my favorite. Before, I opened my package and saw a piece of bread separated by a paper from a jambalaya completely stuffed with meat and I was sad with what I found today, there was no bread and something like 5 small pieces of meat/sausage, not to mention that I had to stop at a convenience of post to ask for spoons and napkins because in the bag they gave me at the drive thru there was nothing! It's funny that the value didn't decrease with the quality of the product offered either!

This was my first time, here, and I have nothing bad to say. The jambalaya and pork roast were great, and they have reasonable prices, too. I got it to go, but the dining area was clean and the cashier was polite and helpful. I'll be eating here every week!

Has a bit of a fast food persona, but Damn is the food good. Had the Gumbo, Jambalaya, and catfish Poboy, all fantastic. Don't pass this place up, as the value is high, service was fast and food was great.

If I could give no stars I would but I have to give a considerate star to be able to leave a review I’ve never ordered from the O’Neal location but I was on this side so I thought I’d grab some quick food before ordering I looked at the reviews it had me really skeptical but my husband said let’s just try em out Omg I wish I would have talked him out of it I go on their website the combo #1 is priced at 9.99 on the website yet when I get there they charge me 13.99 for each combo I’m like what’s going on then they charge my card but don’t give me any food the young lady that worked there called the ignorant owner or whomever she is she was so rude and lying and in denial I told her go look at your reviews they are horrible mostly she insist they are good I really just read their reviews people are saying steer clear of this location I’ve never had a problem with the location on Airline the owner at the O’Neal location is horrible I pray those ladies that work there find better the employee was trying to explain to her the situation she kept talking over her trying to be right those employees deserve better and I pray God bless them with better I will be reporting the owner or whomever she is what a sad individual she needs to be taught a valuable lesson.

This is an update on the response to the owner response to my review she knows she was wrong when you have your food price as one price online but try to charge more in person you’re getting over on people change your online price that is false information and the worker that called you to explain you were so rude to her and talking at her and over her she had to give me the phone and you were then again rude and disrespectful trying to argue with a customer about something I showed proof of and you knew was wrong you’re very unprofessional I will never visit the O’Neal location again you have to live with yourself dishonest and disgustingly rude your reviews speaks for itself I pray those ladies find a better place to work what a...

Today was my first time at The Jambalaya Shoppe. I ordered the jambalaya dinner. For my sides I chose potato salad and green beans. The jambalaya was good. The green beans tasted like they were heated up from a can (kind of what I expected). The potato salad was not good at all. It was basically mashed potatoes colored yellow (possibly with mustard) and flavored with sugar (yes sugar, they were way too sweet). The serving size of the jambalaya was great. The amount of chicken and sausage in the jambalaya was also great (most of time places try to skimp on the meat and focus on the rice). I expected a drink to come with the dinner ($8.99 plus tax), but it did not. A drink was $1.50 extra. For the cost of the dinner a drink should've been included since the amount of food (even though the jambalaya was plentiful) didn't...

A customer placed an order over the phone and requested I go pick it up. I said okay. When I arrived about 15 minutes later, they said there was no order under that name. Suggested that I may be in the wrong place. He said the restaurant up the street is where I should be. I called the person whom then placed the order again while I was there via my phone while on speaker mode. Finally paid and got order about twenty minutes later and delivered it. ☆ Never going there again for someone else or myself ever again. Rather travel out of my way to go to another one. The one on Government St. is very friendly and respectful towards all customers. That is a further distance, but worth the time because of the atmosphere...
