Updated 9/21/22: I think the older lady must have retired. She doesn't answer the phone nor have we seen her in the restaurant, any longer. It still seems to be a family ran and owned restaurant. The quality of food has not changed. I have now tried the Fried Curry Vermicelli plate, which is also delicious, and my husband tried their Porkchop Rice dish, which had a fried egg (not sure of the actual Menu name for these dishes). I have also tried the large Chicken Pho, which I liked. We have visited inside the restaurant twice now. The women's restrooms are pretty clean. The restaurant is pretty clean, as well. The service is great! I would recommend White Bowl use real soup spoons, for the pho, rather than plastic ones, to save on expenses. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Normally when the older lady is working and you ask for a level 5 spiciness, she adds sliced chili peppers to your dish. When you ask the younger employees for a level 5 spiciness they say they dont use a spiciness level. Recently, i spoke to a young guy and he said I could specifically ask for the sliced chili peppers so now we do. You wouldn't think it could change the dish flavor so much but it does. Well, if you can handle the heat. My husband and I get the Vermicelli Lemongrass Chicken plate and ask for sliced chili peppers to be added in the fish sauce. I much rather have the sliced chili peppers, in the dishes, than the chili paste or Sriracha. It is delicious!! We also order the large Chicken Fried Rice for the kiddos (7 and 10 yo) and they love it!! They eat every last bite. I have also ordered the Bird's Nest and i liked it, as well. I think every dish White Bowl makes is delicious. If you have not given them a try, I highly recommend it. It is one of the good restaurants...
Read moreI’ll start by saying I was a loyal customer for months. The food is mediocre at best. In my opinion, the beef fried rice was the best and the only thing worth paying, from the over priced menu. The reason for the 1 star is due to the management and owners. The actual waiters are great. Great service. But the owners have no problem yelling at their employees and belittling them in front of all their customers. I could only IMAGINE what goes on behind closed doors. This is not something I like to see nor will I support when paying for lunch somewhere. Especially when they stay understaffed and over work their employees. A few days ago I was notified by the manager, that I was not allowed to sit at the bar top anymore and that I had to start sitting “somewhere else” with a quick point to the corner. I always come in and sit at the bar since it is closest to the TV. Mind you, everyone is allowed to sit at the bar top. I am a quiet customer who always eats alone for break or lunch. I have never made a negative impact on the staff or establishment. If the place is busy, I go as far as informing my waitress she will still receive my tip, but to please give me less service so they may attend to other customers as I am not a needy customer. I will NOT return and advise anyone else not to visit this establishment. There is a reason you see a new waiter every...
Read moreMe and my wife stopped here today sep 7 for the first time. Now it’s 3 315 in the afternoon and we walk in and theirs nobody else in the place but us . The sign when you walk in says sit anywhere so we did. There were three people at the bar. Two waitresses and a man standing on the other side and they are rolling up silverware and talking to each other We were never greeted when we came in and it took them 3 to 5 minutes before anyone got up to come wait on us. We both ordered the Pho with chicken and a shrimp fried rice. The Pho was pretty much had just a salty taste and the chicken was tough and a little bitter. We never got our fried rice. I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. I don’t know if the guy with the hat behind the bar was the owner or the manager but he needs to learn how to greet his customers because to me it’s like I don’t need...
