Usually across the years, I've had a genuinely great experience coming to Texas Roadhouse. The rolls are to die for. I never, ever write reviews unless I have an over-the-top experience, or an experience so poor, that it drives me to write a review. Unfortunately, this was not an over-the-top experience. From the second we walked in the door, I could tell something would go wrong. My girlfriend joined the waitlist online before I got off of work. We waited in the parking lot until we got the text signifying the wait wouldn't be much longer. After standing inside for 35 minutes and watching 12-15 tables get seated before us, multiple workers came up to us to repeatedly ask for the name on our reservation. They continuously said we would be next, but more tables were being seated before us. Fine. No big deal. We don't mind waiting too long, but a hostess said our ticket was printed and put to the side. I understand days like today could be busy, so we didn't have that much of a problem. We get seated and our food comes around 25 minutes later, once again, we did not mind the wait as long as we were finally sitting down. My girlfriend orders a steak medium, and I ordered it medium rare. We joked about our past experience, where our steaks were flipped and I got the medium and vice versa. Turns out, it happened again. When we brought it to the waitress' attention, she was really nice, and offered to bring it to the kitchen to cook it a little longer. We got it back and after "cooking it longer" it looked still medium rare. (picture provided) After the lack of professionalism from what I assume was the manager who seemed annoyed that we did not get what we ordered, my girlfriend was reluctant to send it back for a second time because of the stigma of annoying customers. We are introverted and do NOT like to make a scene when we go out since we barely do it. Overall, this experience has caused us to not even consider Texas Roadhouse as an option to eat, rather go and buy the rolls from Walmart and bake them ourselves. $75 was not worth this experience and although we didn't expect for our bill to be discounted, it would have...
Read moreI absolutely hate to post this, but here we go. I was disappointed in my last visit to Texas Roadhouse. We know it's very busy and if you don't time it right the wait is longggg. But you always got the best steak and service in town. However, that is not what happened. It was on Valentines Day, and we decided it had been about 6 to 9 months since we went, so we decided to plan to go. We saw they opened at 3 and because we could we went at around 4 when they still were not yet full. We were seated immediately (at least Texas Roadhouses version, after 3 check-ins, and a small wait). Still very loud which you expect if they are open. We ordered quickly as we knew what we wanted, no appetizers just steak. Both were medium ribeyes, one 12 Oz, one 16 Oz with different sides each. It arrived fairly quickly as I said they were not full yet. They forgot one of the sides which they immediately corrected. Then we cut into the steaks, and both were extremely rare. However, when we cut into the center, it was medium well to well done. They could not have cooked it more without overlooking the center. The waitress did not check if we were satisfied until we were more than halfway finished, so we did not mention it. I do understand that if we had mentioned it, they would have tried to fix it the best they could. However, our opinion was that they could not fix these steaks as they were already overcooked in the middle, and we had cut away the rare outside and just ate the middle. Had she checked with us earlier, we would have mentioned it, but when she did check, it was too long to send back. Also, remember, you will always have people who do not complain out loud they just express their disappointment by not returning and usually tell other people about their bad experience. This is reality and one of the many reasons you have to get it right the 1st time as you won't get a second chance usually. Now that said, this is Texas Roadhouse, which is usually on the money with excellent service and product, so we will go back. If it fails again, then we will know it is on...
Read moreJJ was our server last night and absolutely the best customer service from beginning to end. They are packed I think we waited almost 1hr and 30mins but we aren't ones to complain over things that are beyond their control.
Our waitress was amazing definitely don't come across many kind, upbeat and attentive servers all the time. Her energy is amazing and she should be getting paid to Match it, we had a table of 6 and she got everything right, amazing memory she was good with recommending a drink I'd like. And it seemed like we were her first table bc she was so nice and upbeat I wouldn't have known that she been working all night.
TEXAS ROAD HOUSE yall need to put JJ in the training program or something bc I feel like shed not being paid enough at all with what she brings to the table a total asset. Corporate needs to pay JJ the big bucks. Food could of sucked and I'll still go eat their for the top notch customer...
