My spouse and I recently sold our house and will be leaving the Louisville area by the end of June, so we've been hitting up all the places we liked locally that we might not have again for a very long time. On Friday (6-7-24) we chose Craft House in Fern Creek as we've always enjoyed their food. We got there past dinner rush so they weren't extremely busy and got seated really quickly. We waited for a few minutes and then got a girl named Kensie (I only know because of the receipt, she never introduced herself to us) who got our drinks, and then once she gave us our drinks, we had to wait about 10 mins to take an order.... keep in mind, they were past peak, she wasn't busy. At the same time, a couple who literally were right in front of us when we walked in was seated at the table behind us, and had a wonderful server who was on top of things (she had dark blonde hair and glasses) and they were finished and paid by the time we were just getting our food. The food was good as normal, we got cheese sticks and two small pizzas, but the service left a lot to be desired. It didn't help that where we were seated, we could see our server hanging out behind the bar having conversations with her co-workers, all the while my spouse was waiting for a refill on soda, a wait that lasted fifteen minutes, and even when she came back with the bill she didn't offer a refill or anything and we basically had to flag her down asking for boxes. It was some of the worst lackadaisical service I've had, and it did reflect in the tip, as I will generally tip over 20% if the service was good, this girl was terrible. Especially when I saw the girl who waited on the couple behind us who was on the ball with her tables, and I also saw a clean cut gentleman with dark hair and glasses who looked like he was also busting himself, while we got stuck with a server who didn't even pretend like she cared and was probably the worst server I'd dealt with in at least five years. You guys need to perhaps check on how your servers bustle themselves, because we were both unsatisfied with...
Read moreWalked in and waited to be seated because the front hostess was answering calls, cashing out/getting carryout orders, and seating customers. The place was busy, but I noticed there were tons of empty tables. There was a guy with long brown hair in a ponytail just lazily walking around trying to look busy and I realized after we got sat down that we were put in his section because he told the hostess to put us there. He did not come greet us and eventually the hostess grabbed our drinks when she had a second, apologizing for the wait. I really commend her hard work, but it’s obvious there is an issue at this location if they can’t seat people and greet people quickly to the point where one person doing 3 jobs has to do a fourth by greeting the sat down guests too. We waited over 20 minutes at the table and finally saw the guy with the brown ponytail come talk to the table next to us and he was JUST now taking their order although they had been sitting there so long already (they were sat down and had drinks before we even walked in). He didn’t write anything down and there were 5 people at that table. We knew we weren’t going to A) get our order taken soon, B) get our food while it was hot because he was so slow, C) might not even get an accurate order because that guy was just trying to show off. I don’t mind when folks don’t take orders down on a notepad, but the lack of service and urgency from this guy left me with no confidence in this location. We left after 25 minutes and will not be back unless something major happens to the management of it. Once again, really commend the hostess, but she needs...
Read moreVery disappointed. Our standard order is pepperoni, green olives and ricotta cheese. When we got there we requested a booth and all but 2 were empty. They sat us on the side where the sun was setting and even though they had their shades down, I found myself squinting and holding my hand over my eyes. I said something to our hostess but she just shrugged her shoulders. When our pizza arrived, it was pepperoni and green olives but not site if the familiar small dollop of ricotta. When we asked our waiter about it , he said I'm sure they put it on the pizza and came back after visiting the kitchen and told us it went down before the sauce. I peeled the topping off of a slice and didn't see ricotta. I asked to see a manager since they were going to charge us for the topping. The manager said yes he put it on very thinly under the sauce. Now neither my husband or I could see it or taste it. He said this is the way they put it in and while I didn't want to disagree with him since we order this pizza about every 6 weeks, I did. I also told him I ordered it from the Jtown location and the Shelbyville Road location and until today you could always see the small dollop of ricotta on it. He continued to tell me that everyone was doing it incorrectly and as the manager he was correcting it. That answered it for me. We won't be going to that location again and we'll see if the other locations are...
