So everything was good as far as I was concerned like really I went there and I had never even heard of turkey ribs, which I would truly recommend if you stop doing you see that on the list. Everything was good as well season it was cooked through I got the fried okra. It wasn’t soggy. It was good. The only reason I didn’t give him a five because they said it was eggs the potato salad and there was no eggs in my potato salad and that kind of not that I think about it kind of pisses me off however, I definitely earned this full star and I can’t wait to eat there again. I just won’t order the potato salad because it doesn’t have eggs in it or if it does have eggs in it, I will tell them hey can you make sure I got eggs in my part of potato salad that you gave me because I’m thinking if you put eggs, potato salad, it would be throughout it so if you only put eggs on a certain spot, they know if I asked you about the eggs it makes makes sense when you scoop it you would give me the type of part that has cause I’m obviously into eggs, potato salad, like I don’t like a potato salad reminds me of the store potato salad don’t put eggs in the store, potato salad because of the fact that it goes bad faster so they said it was made fresh deli is it May 1 deal or you get to go fast I don’t know is my first time going there but I would definitely...
Read moreThe lady behind the counter was not really friendly so it was a turn off since that is the first encounter when a guest visits. We had the burnt ends sandwich with baked beans & hashbrown casserole. Although the sandwich was drenched in greasy sauce, the burnt ends were awesome as well as the beans. The hash brown casserole had an overwhelming flavor from whatever the green spice was so I wasn't a fan. The brisket platter was cut too thin, dry and lacked deep flavor you hope to have with brisket. No sauce was provided on the tray or in the meat at all so we did have to ask a man to get us some, he was very nice! Brisket seemed like it was older and reheated so we were highly disappointed since the meal was 19.99, we did get it with collards and okra and both of those were good. The cornbread was good too. For the price of our lunch we were disappointed, especially in the brisket since we couldn't even eat half of it. May return for the burnt ends (and request the grease drip out or bread on the side) if we are in that area of town but if you like brisket, I do not suggest trying it here as you will be disappointed. Giving 3 stars bc the burnt ends bring...
Read moreI spent $62 for two rib dinners(why the hell didn’t I just turn around and walk out after that price🙄) but I was there and the place smelled good and “hickory Smokey” so I thought I would go ahead and purchase. Also it was $8 extra for baby back ribs???? It’s funny that when I heard the total, I said to the cashier “This had better be good for that price” Well……….it WAS NOT!! The ribs had zero smoke flavor and looked like they had been boiled first then cooked. They did fall off the bone though but not from any hickory smoke!! If it wasn’t for the sauce, I wouldn’t taste any smoke flavoring at all!! Hickory smoked ribs should taste “Smokey” NOT “porky”!!! I know….I used to work in a Real Hickory Pit BBQ restaurant years ago!! The “baked beans” tasted like pork and beans with bbq sauce. I was very disappointed. You won’t see me again!! Whatever happened to the split between this place and Bootleg Barbeque, y’all need to reconcile and let the Bootleg people show you how to smoke some ribs!!! F++ If gas wasn’t high and I wasn’t hungry, I would have taken this right back and demanded my money back! This is NOT real...
