I have been a loyal Powerup Rewards member and an Edge member before that for over 10 years. I bought my PS4 and several games over the years from this location. I've even taken the time to do phone surveys twice for this store. Giving 10 out of 10 both times, but I will NEVER give this store my business again. The new-ish female manager they have hired is rude and deals with customers in a demeaning fashion. She acts as if you're bothering her whenever you go in. There is a Best Buy 2 doors down from this store and today I went into Gamestop to buy a PS4 charging station for my controllers. They had it marked up $5 more than everyone else I'd seen for this type $29.99. ie , Best Buy, Amazon etc $24.99. I told the kid at cash register that they were cheaper at BB and he acted completely indifferent. So I left and went to BB and bought my Charger for $24.99. I went back into the store to give them the courtesy tell them they were marked a little high and that they might consider dropping them to retain customers, but I couldn't even get it out before she cut me off with this condescending tone telling me "great, Have a nice day" As if to say get out. Look, i can buy video game consoles and accessories anywhere. I go to Gamestop for the customer service and the interaction with the employees that genuinely share my enthusiasm for gaming. Unfortunately at this Gamestop the Blonde heavy set female manager has lost sight of what makes Gamestop so great and instead chooses to push away loyal customers that have given the company thousands of dollars in purchases over the years.
Bottom Line is: As long as this manager is allowed to keep her job I see this GS continuing to lose...
Read moreWas there for the switch 2 midnight release and it was a lil bit of a $hit show! We got there 11:30pm and didn't leave until close to 3am. They had 3 people working, two at the register and 1 at the door. Someone did come in and tried to help out! It was not running smoothly and I think it was because of the girl behind the counter! She was messing up and when a coworker tried to tell her so she could fix the problem she created, she lashes out at the employee about calling her out being way more aggressive and louder than the guy and he's a pretty nice kid and does a pretty good job every time we've been in when he's there! I guess she was in charge of the event because she was trying to run everything but wasn't doing very good at it!
This use to be one of my favorite GameStops but they are struggling badly! Most of the time there's only one person working, they have to close the store to even get a lunch. The new manager on the other hand seems like he, himself is doing pretty good and can run circles around his employees but he shouldn't have to! Where's the team?
What's going on GameStop? What happened to the good ol days when things ran smoother, you had plenty of employees and midnight launches was fun with the Red Bull truck, sometimes games and trivia...etc! I am digging bringing back the retro systems and games! I'll change my stars when the staff gets better and things run smoother! My bf has worked for GameStop twice, knows his stuff on games and has an upbeat personality and applied but kepted getting the run around or turned down but yet y'all...
Read moreBrought my son into the store to purchase a few newly released games and a couple of items he wanted, along with several things I had wanted as well. Asked the guy behind the counter if he knew the price of the Turtle Beach headset and he shouted “Nope. Sure don’t.” I was struck by the tone and volume, having not experienced customer service like this at this location before I was also quite bothered. Having the salesperson completely ignore us when we walked in and the sheer unwillingness to help, or offer to look up a price, when my son walked over with a few items he was wanting I instructed him to put them down. We simply walked out not wanting to be a burden furthermore. We will no longer do business with any Game Stop again, and have let several friends and family members know as well. They have also expressed similar sentiments and have agreed this company is a far cry from what it once was. ...
