Loco Hermano – A Treasure in Lewisville
Loco Hermanos is more than just a restaurant — it feels like a true Lewisville institution. The moment you step inside, you are greeted not just by the aroma of freshly made burritos, but by a spirit of warmth and care that is increasingly rare in our hurried world.
The burritos themselves are nothing short of extraordinary. They are sumptuous, generous, and crafted with ingredients that taste as if they were gathered that very morning. Each bite is vibrant and alive with flavor — the tortillas soft and warm, the fillings layered with freshness, and the seasoning perfectly balanced. It is food made with intention, respect, and genuine pride.
And yet, as remarkable as the food is, what elevates Loco Hermano into something unforgettable is the service. The young lady who greets customers at the front embodies what true hospitality should be. She is friendly, professional, and disarmingly sweet. She takes the time to be helpful, to offer a kind word, and to ensure each guest feels not like a transaction, but like a valued human being. Watching her interact with customers, one cannot help but feel transported back to a time when service was not just a job, but an art. She is, without doubt, a gem — the kind of employee any business would be fortunate to have.
In an age when so much service feels impersonal or hurried, Loco Hermano shines all the brighter. The food is a celebration of freshness and flavor; the service, a reminder of kindness and connection. Together, they make this place not only worth visiting, but worth cherishing.
When I left, I felt not only satisfied, but uplifted — the kind of contentment that comes from being cared for in both body and spirit. It is a place I will return to again and again, not only for the food, but for the feeling.
As the Irish wisely say: “Laughter is brightest where food is best.” And I would only add — if burritos this good are a little loco, then may I never...
Read moreI think you missed the point there my friend. If I order a whole bunch of burritos, sure a bag makes sense. However If I order one or two burritos I don’t need a bag, don’t want a bag, so don’t give me a bag and don’t charge me for one. Even it was free, for environmental reasons I don’t want a bag unless the order is just too much to carry with two hands and I really feel I need one. So if you’re gonna charge for a bag that is not wanted or needed you at least owe it to your customers to ask if a bag is wanted. I work retail pretty close by and since the bag law has gone into effect we only charge 10 cents per bag, and we do so when a customer requests it, not automatically with the assumption the customer wants the bag and wants to pay for it. They are also much nicer bags. At 25 cents per cheap little white plastic bag that y’all use, I imagine you are making a profit every time but I can’t say with certainty because I don’t know what the city taxes you and your cost per bag though I imagine it is less than 25 cents. Tbh honest I love your restaurant, it’s fire!! Real good food at a reasonable price.. and to make up for the previous 3 star review, I’ll give this one 5 stars. I just wanted to be able to respond to your response because it seemed to miss the point. Don’t charge people for what they did not ask for. If you feel a bag is necessary ask the customer for consent to provide one and explain it costs something or do nothing at all and just hand over the food. I’ll keep coming back for burritos and hopefully In the future I won’t have to manually request no bag when I order 1 or 2 burritos togo. All this over 25 cents is silly, but you guys run a good business and I like coming here so I feel the feedback is needed from one human to another on the never ending path of improvement. Hopefully my words here have landed, keep up the good food and I’ll keep...
Read moreA Burrito is a burrito.. whoever said that has never been here before. I don't normally go to a place more then once if I really enjoy it, been disappointed on the second visit too many times, glad I tried them again.
So let's start with my first time, early afternoon and looking for something different, I noticed this place but it was closing soon (2pm). They had a burrito that piqued my interest, the Outlaw (steak and bacon), how could one go wrong?? I quickly jumped in the car and away I went. I ordered, and patiently waited. 2 others had picked up their items while I was there. My name was called and my foil wrapped lunch was handed to me. As I walked outside I noticed the other individuals eating in their own cars. I could only think that I am about to have something special here as they did not even bother leaving the parking lot. I was correct, it was absolutely amazing!!
Fast forward a couple days as I pulled out of my hotel I remembered they had breakfast burritos. I pulled up the menu and the Big Poppa grabbed my attention, it must have been the bacon, sausage, and chorizo. Called in the order this time and by the time I got there (10 minutes) it was ready. Again, a really amazing burrito.
Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. 2 visits a couple days apart, completely impressed. The prices are a bargain, in my opinion, for the flavor and quality of the...
