2 stars is generous for this visit, but it was a busy night. They were not prepared at all. Totally understaffed, overwhelmed and unorganized. We saw some people arrive after uns and leave before we even got our food :-(. It started that we were waiting for a waiter at least half an hour and then had to go get someone to take our drink order. It took another half an hour to get our drinks but some orders were missing!? Then we had to wait about another hour to get our food, again only half of our group got their food. Some orders were missing and some just came late out of the kitchen. Sadly the food wasn't that great. Out of 10 people about 2 liked their food the rest was disappointed. At the end the restaurant charged each person a "Dance charge" of 4 dollars, because the restaurant had hired some dragon dancers. Sorry, but if you are planning to charge for your hired entertainment it should be clear from the beginning that there is a fee for the night! But you can't just add stuff to the bill without people's knowledge. Totally unprofessional. Not sure if anyone from our group will go back again. I usually like to give people a second chance....

Sept 2017. Louisville documents indicate that the restaurant may have changed hands in late 2015. I'll have to go back a reassess the dishes I like. I don't recommend the basil chicken. I love the flavor of basil chicken (3 cup chicken), but it seems chopped up haphazardly with a butcher knife. The bone shards in the dish cut my lip. Poor chicken butchering. Even the white meat had little bone shards. I don't recommend this dish. Even being careful afterwards, it was a pain in the neck to eat. Generally, there are authentic offerings on the menu as well as American style Chinese food. Hot and sour soup is solid. I'll get it almost every time. For some thing different, I recommend "ants climbing a tree" even though the admin in my group makes fun of me for like "soft food for old people". I also like watercress greens. Similar to spinach but less bitter.

Review: 5/5 Stars I had a fantastic experience at this hibachi restaurant! The chef was incredibly entertaining and engaging—he kept the whole table laughing and involved throughout the meal with impressive tricks, fiery performances, and great energy. It really added a fun and memorable element to the dining experience. What stood out even more was how accommodating the restaurant was. As a vegan, it can sometimes be tricky to find options at hibachi spots, but they had several plant-based choices and were more than willing to adjust dishes to fit dietary needs. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Great food, a lively atmosphere, and top-notch hospitality—I’ll definitely be back!

Have ordered quite often from Spice China, have always been fairly happy with the food, although slightly more expensive than other similar restaurants. Ordered delivery 4/21 and was not happy at all with the food. For an entree and appetizer $30. Order arrived quickly, but the appetizer was inedible. It was fried calamari, spring rolls, cream cheese wontons and pot stickers. It was not cooked properly, it was undercooked. The calamari was soggy and slimy, spring rolls not cooked all the way through. We skipped the appetizer and agree the entree, which was also a bad experience. It was mu shu pork and had a very bad smell. Smelled like a barn yard. It must have been boar taint, a condition must often encountered in pork from male pigs with high hormone levels. It turned our stomachs. In the end it wasn't the food that is getting the low rating, but the way I was treated when I called to complain. One should expect a better deal for $30, but every restaurant has off days. I called and the manager was our, I was asked to leave my number and they would call back. Two hours later I had to call them as there was no return call. All I was really hoping for was a refund for the appetizer, but what I got was a lecture about fried food. I was told: " just a heads up when you order fried food it will arrive soggy because of the container we put it in..." We have ordered plenty of fried foods from Spice China and never had this problem. In the end he said he would refund $5 off the $10 appetizer (haven't checked yet to see if that really happened, especially due to the failure to even return my call) without apologizing for the poor quality of the food. They just lost a...

The staff were all friendly and attentive. Our hibachi chef David was very personable and had some cool variations on tricks we hadn't seen before!

We ordered two lunch entrees and one dinner entree for the grill. The dinner portion is huge and my wife got the chicken and shrimp and it came with 6+ shrimp and 7oz ish of chicken, vegetables and noodles enough for three of us to share.

The lunch entree came with the house salad that had a very pleasant dressing that was refreshing, and we all opted for the $3 garlic butter fried rice upgrade which was well worth it!

I got the steak and shrimp, which is the NY steak if you don't get any upgrades to filet mignon or American wagyu. David told us you get quality organic American wagyu if you opt for that which piqued our interest for the next time! They were both tasty and well seasoned. My wife wanted less of the sweet hoisin like sauce and I probably wanted less of the salty sauce overall lol! He said he can cook it to how we like so we might request that next time.

A bit bonus is the staff seem to be all happy and treated well at the restaurant. Apparently the hibachi chefs are all allowed to cook as they deem fit instead of following a specific recipe, and were tested monthly by cooking for the staff. I would be happy to...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! NEVER AGAIN!! We had an incredibly disappointing experience at Mt. Fuji, and I feel compelled to warn others. Here are the main issues we encountered:

Poor Management: Despite having a 6:00 PM reservation, we were asked to wait in the bar area because the restaurant had overbooked. This shows a lack of proper management and planning.

Unclean Bar Area: The bar was so dirty that none of the 15 people waiting for tables would sit there. Despite five servers coming and going, no one seemed to notice or address the filth. After 30 minutes, I asked to speak to the manager, who never showed up, leaving us to wait for an hour in a dirty bar area.

Chaotic Atmosphere: The restaurant was like a zoo, with children running and yelling everywhere. It felt more like Chuck E. Cheese than a place for a nice dinner.

Poor Customer Service: Frustrated, we left and went to the quaint Louisville historic area, where we received excellent service.

Overall, Mt. Fuji is dirty, poorly managed, and has a chaotic atmosphere. If you are looking for a nice hibachi restaurant, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Six of us agreed it was the worst attempt at creating a dining experience we’ve ever had. NEVER EVER AGAIN! You've...
