Tonight was a mistake and I learned my lesson that I should have just stayed home and cooked for my husband and I. I ordered online a choose two chicken ceaser salad and grilled chicken spud while my husband got a McAlister's Club and mash-potatoes.
My husband payed for our meal, but was handed the bag with the mash-potatoes and salad upside down ontop of a one black to-go container. We checked our order as we sat in the car making sure we had everything. We did not get my spud which we thought was a honest mistake.
My husband went back inside with our food and receipt to show them what we were missing. They told him that there were no more spuds and that they had already shut down everything for the night. They offered my husband a substitute which was a bag of chips for the spud. $4.00 for a bag of chips? My husband tried to call me so I could come inside.
At this point they offered to give us our money back (when they should have done that in the first place and explained why and offered a subsitute.) When he came back out and told me that they gave us our money back I was fine. Until I realized 1.) they were never going to give our money back in the first place and 2.) I only got half of a salad.
I went back inside to explain why I was upset. We weren't offered anything else to supplement the missing spud and was never informed about it when we picked up our order. At first they were confused about what I was talking about since they just gave my husband our money back. I told them it was just really strange that we were not told nor offered anything else when he first came in.
At this point, who I believe was the manager, stepped out to talk to me and explain what happened. The girls told her that my husband only wanted the money back, which was not true. He only wanted the money back when he was offered the chips. I explained to her how I was upset.
She offered to have them make me the other half of my salad or a sandwich. They were all ready to go home and at this point I was fed up. I told them it sounds like you all want to go home and I am done with the whole situation. I walked out of the store and went home disappointed.
When we got home I noticed another problem with our meal when I opened my half of a salad. I was missing my chicken in my CHICKEN ceaser salad. At this point I was beyond upset, I was mad. I called hoping someone was up there so I could give them a piece of my mind. I reached the same manager who I told I was missing my salad. I wish I waited just a few more moments so my husband could look at his cold mash-potatoes.
The manager apologized for the issues that we experienced to night and that she had already got on her employees for acting up. She offered for me to come up there to get the chicken added to my salad or a free meal. I would have been much happier just getting my meal I ordered tonight correct.
Even with the offer of a free meal I don't know if I will be returning to that McAlister's ever again. I know no one will really care if I ever go back there, but situations like tonight will effect other customers if...

Read morePlaced a to go order using the Phone app which worked perfectly. Once arriving at the Restaurant, I went in and was greeted by a friendly employee who asked how she could help me. I told her I had placed a to go order on my phone. She asked my name, then went and checked to see if my order was ready. At this time she saw another employee bagging up my order which was ready for me to pick up. She handed me my order Nd after double checking to make sure everything was in the bag. I thanked her and left the Resturant and headed on to my wife’s place of employment. I would highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone looking for a nice family atmosphere to set down and enjoy a great meal. Or do as I did use the phone app to place your order, go in and pick it up and go back home or to maybe even a Park to enjoy the awesome food...
