Most of my visits to this location have been thru the drive thru, and largely when the McDonald's on Ruckriegel is jacked up (this morning, for example).
Located so close to the Gene Snyder it's not even funny, this McDonald's is extremely easy to get to right off the expressway. You have to loop almost entirely around the building to get to the drive thru, but it keeps traffic off of the nearby streets.
This location has split ordering speakers (standard at most McD's by now) and screens for reviewing your order. Being able to see your order allows you to correct any mistakes before you get to the pay window.

I've found the speed of service through this drive thru to be fast. There's a level of 'hustle' by this staff the keeps the drive thru moving. I've never been more than 2 cars back from the speaker in any of my visits and most often after I place my order and move forward to the pay window I'm the very next car to pay.
After paying it's on to the food delivery window and, again, I've never encountered a problem here. Fast and efficient, as always.
NOTE: always check your drinks before you leave. There's nothing like expecting the deliciousness of a McDonald's CokeĀ® and then driving down the road only to discovery they gave you something nasty like Cherry CokeĀ®.
Leaving the parking lot you're faced with three options.
To be honest, I wish this location was less then a half mile from my house because all of the drive thru visits I've had here have been faster, better, and more accurate than the experiences I typically get at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter ordering a quarter pounder deluxe & lg fries, in the outer drive-thru lane and pulling forward to the first windrow, no one came to take my money. After sitting there in front of the open windows for about 2 minutes, I pulled to the next of 3 windows. The pression who took my payment could not speak English well enough to tell me how much my bill was. After receiving my card back, I was told to pull up. The third windrow was the front door. The 2 cars behind me were able to pay at the 1st and pick up their food at the second. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for 1 burger & fries. After sitting there at the front door far too long, I got out to go find my food, which was sitting on the counter - cold.
This was by far the worst service I've ever had going thru the drive-thru, AND, and the only person who spoke to me could not even speak English!?
Why did the person working the drive-thru windrow not speak English?!? Why did I have to get out of my truck, walk in, and have to find my food???, AFTER the 2 (two) cars behind me had already left?!?!
This is just another example of how horrible McDonald's customer service has become. I have all but quit going to McDonald's due to the service and food getting much worse year by year.
If, and most of the time that is a big IF, but if they get your order right, there is usually some other issus: most often with the lack of service. I've found stores that do not even take your order or have someone at a register or front. Everyone who walks in must use the screen to order or go elsewhere to get a human to serve you.
The quality of the food has gone down so much since the 80s, those who remember know the food is a joke in comparison. If I stop at McDonald's it's rarely for anything except the egg mxmuffin: simply due to it being difficult to make it less good for you.
It's a choice to allow poor work ethics & standards. With the mindset of today, profits are all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went through the drove through a little after 10pm on a Friday night. I ordered a fish sandwich combo. Keep in mind there were only two cars in the lot aside from mine and no one in the drive through during this entire visit. When I got to the first window a man came to the window and said my price, I looked away for only a second, but he was walking away as I turned back. After a minute a female came to the window, took my money and seemed like she had no clue how to operate the register. I sat at that window for about 3-4 minutes, just to pay. At the second window, I sat there for at least 2-3min before I saw any personnel. They handed me my food and drink and told me "thank you and have a good day". I pulled to the show off the parking lot to grab my fry's so I could eat them on the road. They were just warm, not hot like normal. 10 minutes later when I got home and ate my gosh sandwich, the bread was shriveled and the fish was so greasy and tough it tasted like it had been deep fried, left to sit and get cold and then put back into the deep fried a second time. I've never had bad service from this location before, but between the actual service and the quality of food provided... I will most likely never stop at this McDonald's again. I couldn't even finish my sandwich... Yes it was that bad. I took maybe 2 or 3 bites, and threw it away. I waisted my money on McDonald's and still had to heat a hot pocket up...
