I hate leaving three stars, especially after the initial recent visit was AMAZING. However, the two following visits were negative. I've spent a lot of money on food that was not good and ruined.

We heard of the new vegan menu and wanted to try it. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and chicken alfredo - dairy free but with chicken. This meal was one of the best. The chicken alfredo and vegan cheese (or so we thought) was out of this world. The dessert was weird and looked thrown together.

The next visit, we wanted to try other items. This time, we ordered the dessert, cauliflower wings, ' fish and chips ' vegan, and fully vegan chicken alfredo. The Buffalo Cauliflower wings were so large and not cooked all the way through. The batter was falling off as well. In addition, the Buffalo sauce was on the side not added after fried. Didn't like those.

The chicken alfredo was full vegan this time. And it tasted terrible. We realized that the first round, we must have ended up receiving dairy and not dairy free - even though it didn't taste like dairy. But perhaps it was, we are not sure. This alfredo was so watery and flavorless - who knows!

The third visit was even more disappointing. The Brussel sprouts we knew were a solid. HoweverN in a desperate and obsessive hope for the first chicken alfredo, this time, we ordered the regular chicken alfredo. Upon receiving it, the alfredo again was watery and we did confirm that the original chicken dairy free alfredo that I ordered was never dairy free. I confirmed this with the toast and flavor notes of the alfredo. This time we didn't order to go and were eating in. So, I had the ability to show the server and say I wanted the alfredo remade or order another item. When I showed the alfredo to the server, they said it was watery, not supposed to look like that and must of been the last remaining. I started to ask to reorder or receive a new item but they ignored my request. At this point, I just pushed the food away and didn't eat it.

I've tried and may just try again, because that first Chicken Alfredo was AMAZING! However, if you're looking to order it and your Vegan, beware. And if you're looking to order it in general, be prepared for a watery flavorless plate...

Molly Malone’s is my neighborhood bar and a place I’ve frequented since moving to the Original Highlands. However, after my experience on April 28, I’m not sure I’ll be back. A group of roughly 25 folks came to celebrate a friend and from the moment we arrived we received nothing but meanness and rude commentary from the staff. When we arrived around 6pm, there were roughly 10 other patrons at the establishment. We were out on the patio. When we went in to try and order drinks we were aggressively ordered back outside. After waiting for more than 15 minutes, one person from our group went back inside to try and get a server. We finally got a server and he wouldn’t take the entire groups drink order and for the people he did get, it took him more than 10 minutes to bring drinks back. When he delivered drinks, he blatantly ignored people who were unable to order the first time he came out, even when they politely said “excuse me.” Eventually everyone was able to order a drink, some folks put in a second drink order. Then the server told us he was closing our group out. We asked him not to as we were planning to stick around. He closed everyone out regardless. So people started to return inside to order more drinks where we were all met with rudeness and in a couple of cases when the bartender rang up the wrong drink on a ticket, she would proceed to complain out loud and even badmouth people in our group for being cheap. I've been here several times through out the years. When I first started coming the bar was dark, set up nice with dim lights inside and the food was amazing. The service on the other hand has never really been all that great. I Went in the other night and was greeted immediately with a warm welcome and show to our seats. The waitress came up and was super friendly and so was the employee she was training. Then I noticed how bright it was inside and that they had taken a lot of the place apart. For A moment I thought I was in the wrong place.

I ordered the scotch egg like I always do, and my wife ordered the chicken alfredo. My scotch egg came, and instead of being nicely prepared it was just that, on a plate, and a side cup of whatever sauce on the side, not on it like it has always been. No big deal I guess.

My wife's food on the other hand was cold. Not warm, cold. The alfredo sauce was pretty much just cheese sauce, and everything just tasted like salt.

I ate my egg. Had two beers. She had one drink, ate a couple bites of food and we left.

I'll miss the darker bar with good food and just ok service. Over the bright one with terrible food and...
