SmashD on Frankfort — Restaurant in Louisville

I will give them the benefit of the doubt. This is more of a 3.5 star than a four. I went into the establishment on Thursday when I was in the area. The interior was clean, but bland and boring with decor. The menu was paper and simple with only 6-7 selections. These included 2 types of burgers, 3 sides and I forget the 2-3 items below, maybe milkshakes? The only drink options were canned sodas.

I ordered a burger with onions, tater tots and 1 soda. For the price I paid, I was not impressed. The tater tots were fresh, but nothing special. I could get the same taste from a bag and air fryer at home. The burger was avg at best. It had no flavor, the onions made my breath and skin reak making me stop back at the hotel room to shower and brush my teeth. It had no flavor and was just bland. It wasnt the worst burger ive had, but for the money paid it was no where close to other burger places ive tried.

Personally, I would try once to say ive been there, but I doubt I would frequent or tell friends visiting to go. I feel its more geared towards drinking at both bars then getting food without a care of what you are getting or the...

If you’re a smashburger fan, this place is a must. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which sets the tone for a great experience. The dining area was spotless, which I always appreciate. But the real standout is the burger. It is absolutely insane in the best way. You can tell they care about quality. The beef is flavorful and perfectly seared, the potato buns are soft but sturdy, and the beef tallow fries are rich and crispy.

I went for the first time today to get lunch take out. The man working inside (maybe the owner?) was very friendly and explained their two burger options to me since it was my first time. I ordered one of each burger and the onion rings, and everything was fresh and delicious! The burgers were a tad oily but I didn't mind and kind of expected that.
