Bourbon Barrel Foods is my go-to place for getting the best local stuff for gift giving, but I always get myself something too!

The staff is great. If you don't know where to begin, they're incredibly helpful.

You can get everything from mint sugar to bitters to soy sauce to spice blends to tea ... AND, you can even eat at the cafe. I'm hooked on the Bourbon Black Tea they carry from Elmwood Inn Fine Teas. Be sure to checkout the free recipe cards!

I bring their small sample size spices, salts, sugars, etc when I take trips to leave for the housekeepers. They are easy to pack and a fun little gift to hold down their monetary tip.

If you're in #tourist mode, pick up some bread from Blue Dog Bakery or Red Hog Butcher, a bottle of wine from The Wine Cellar, then grab some of the delicious spreads from the cooler and have a little picnic at one of Louisville's...

Stopped here while on a road trip, and I'm so glad I did! A wonderful selection of gourmet gifts at reasonable prices. They have a variety of their products available for sampling.
