I've been wanting white castle for months since the covid-19 outbreak. I was not going to pay 7+ dollars for delivery when it's only about 3 blocks from my work. They had the dining room area closed this whole time. Well, last Friday on my way in, since I have to ride a bus line to get to work, I noticed people exiting the building. I got off on 6th and Broadway to enter the building. The place was spotless. Could tell that things had changed since right away I could see that they had new rules for ordering based on the signs on the floor. The cash register had a shield and every staff member was wearing a mask. Ordered 4 jalapeño cheese sliders, one slider with egg and 3 mozzarella sticks. After I placer my order, the lady at the register kindly asked me to move to the side because of social distancing. They had spots on the floor that indicate the order on which the orders are placed and to keep distance from the customers. Despite the fact that the drive thru was packed, my order didn't take long. It was me, and 4 other individuals in the building. When I received my order, I asked for that white castle mustard and ketchup. The lady was friendly and kindly asked me to exit to the right. So the front door is used as an entry point and the side door on the right of the building is used as an exit. Makes sense during this time of social distancing. When I got to work, my food was warm and I missed the taste of those jalapeño sliders. That breakfast slider with egg was delicious. The egg was fluffy and not over cooked. The cheese sticks were crispy and stringy. Wished I would have tempered the marinara sauce but, that was my fault. The only complain I have which is a minor one, is that they forgot the pickles on my jalapeño cheese sliders. Thankfully I keep a jar in the mini fridge in my office. The experience was new but, it's understandable during these times. I'm glad I can pick up white castle on my way to work or for lunch. Been missing this place. And yes, you are required to wear a mask the whole time you're in the building. And for those who don't know, make sure that before your order is ready, to ask for all the condiments ahead of time. Napkins are next to the fountain drink machine and if you're in need to use the restroom, the code to enter the bathroom is at the bottom of...
Read moreI am usually very fair with fast food reviews. I waited in line for twenty minutes three cars ahead of me. This is not the first time at this location that I have waited a very long time. Since I knew It was going to take time, I ordered on my uber app. I figured that would take away the wrong items being ordered. After getting to the speaker I was greeted by a female that said "Can you hold on for a minute please". After waiting 8 minutes at the speaker to tell her that I have a uber eats order she said to pull forward. There were no cars in front of me. I went straight to the window. The young lady working attempted to hand me two drinks. I told her that I had an uber order and no drinks were ordered. She then stated "oh, I forgot". She walked away from the window and reappeared after 7 more minutes with a plastic bag wrapped around a paper bag and handed it to me and said "thanks". I usually pull forward as a courtesy and check my orders. I did not though today because the wait for three cars was already well over 30 minutes. So I looked. I was missing 3 cheese sliders and two cups of cheese (for fries). The lady reappeared and looked at me. I stated what I was missing. She came back 5 more minutes later with three cheese sliders and 1 cup of cheese sauce. I paid for two and that's what I told her after she said "I put one in your bag". We were craving white castles. But next time, I will go out of my way to another location. This particular site is in need of new managers and staff. Also, the lobby was not open. White Castle...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru and ordered the chicken cheddar blast rings special, 12 of them for $3.99. I ordered 3 of them and a sack of onion rings and a sack of French fries. The cashier in the drive-thru was very nice and sweet and very pregnant, I pulled up to the window crooked and we both had to stretch and her being as far along as she was it was very difficult. I said something about pulling up kinda crooked and she told me that it was really difficult for her to stretch and she stepped away from the window and rubbed her stomach. I said that I had been there and done that. I had worked in a fast food restaurant when I was pregnant with my oldest one and I was in the drive-thru a lot and it is very difficult to reach the car's when they pull up whether they're straight or crooked. So, while she was waiting on my order I got my van a lot more straight in the drive-thru so she wouldn't have to stretch as much and I told her that I straightened up my van and got closer to the window and she saw that she didn't have to stretch as much when she handed me my food. I know that she appreciated that very much and she could tell that I understood since I...
