Came today for the hobbit show, I want to put a disclaimer that the kids did do amazing, really talented group of kids.
We felt catfished by the venue, we were expecting to be in an opera house, but instead we were led to a wobbly makeshift audience seating in a room that resembled exactly what you'd expect from a school play in a gymnasium.
We were also expecting an orchestra to be performing the film score and as you can tell where this is going, there wasn't.
I'm not sure if this was the feel they were trying to have with this interpretation of the hobbit but we felt disappointed.
I'd say probably the worst thing though was having seating in between poles, there should be at the very least an unobstructed view. I attached a picture of our view with a pole right in the way, you can't even see the performer that was...

This particular location is where the stars that do not feel the waves of adulation that come from standing ovations. While Opera rings and the fabulous theaters art centers schools parks of our great City Louisville, this is a place of toil. Paperwork, contracts, purchasing... not behind the scenes but those that procure the plywood velvet throat spray, Ace bandages for those that work behind the stage for the performers. This would be extremely helpful to parents with young children showing up the the Opera building just to be turned away because the storybook program is not even being held at main location. This could be easily updated on the youth and family programs...
