Spinellis pizzeria downtown — Restaurant in Louisville

If I could find a way to give NEGATIVE stars I would. We called to place an order for a large chicken bacon ranch pizza at 10:50pm. Guy on the phone said okay it will be maybe 40 minutes until we get it delivered to you.

Ok, that's fine but an hour passed. So we called and they got snoody and said it is about to come out the oven it will be there soon. So we waited longer. It didn't get to us until 1:00am.

When we finally got it and went back to our hotel room with it and opened it. It was COLD. Not hot, not kinda warm. COLD. There was maybe a tiny handful of over cooked chicken and like they just dumped ranch on top of the pizza. There was no bacon on it.

So we got our car and drove over to the pizza place from our hotel with the whole pizza and asked for a refund. One dude listened to what my husband had to say and then stopped some woman and told her we were returning it and she came up to the counter and asked my husband what the problem was and he told her and she proceeded to throw her finger up in his face and said " hold up i gotta ask bout that one" very rudely and walked off to the back. Then she came back a few minutes later and pressed some buttons on the computer,printed out a receipt and then proceeded to toss it at us on the counter and mouth off " there ya go" very rudely and started to walk off.

Absolutely atrocious behavior for someone working in customer service. Plus the way she presented her self was absolutely trashy.

This was the first and absolute last time we will ever be here and don't worry, we've also showed pictures and informed others staying at the same hotel to...

BYOT - Bring Your Own Toppings

If you too want to spend $65+ on a pizza low of toppings, eat here. If you too, love crust, to where most of your pizza is crust including some pretty huge bubbles, eat here. If you hate cheese, no worries, come here and you won’t get hardly any.

Rarely do I post reviews and I saw this place had a 4.8/5 Star rating, was thinking it’s paycheck night and I’ve been craving a decent pizza from somewhere and I’ve never been here before. Just straight up, a waste of my money because they shouldn’t be charging that much for a 12in pizza and then make it with POOR effort like the person just DOESN’T care. Quality control is extremely low here, at least post-evening.

I will say, taste wise, is good. However I have to post this review to warn people, you will get a pizza made with zero effort and hardly anything on it, and the cheesy bread isn’t “cheesy” like at all. 30% of it just bread and the cheesy part was barely cheesed. Telling you, spend that $65+ at a restaurant, any restaurant like dine alone at Olive Garden or Outback or Texas Roadhouse, it’ll cost about the same and be WAY BETTER lol.

I didn’t complain or ask for another meal, I shouldn’t have to and I don’t intend on coming back and I will go out of my way to warn everyone. I don’t need to cause any scene, it should simply just be made CORRECTLY and well for it’s high end pricing.

I placed my order around 10:00 PM from inside the Palace Theater during set break of a concert. We figured this place would be busy after the show so we wanted to get our order in early to beat the rush. The online ordering website said the wait was 90-95 minutes, which was perfect for us, so we placed the order for an 11:45 pickup time.

We got to the restaurant to pickup our order a little before midnight. I went to the counter and asked about my order and a girl behind the counter rudely told me, "It's not ready yet.". She offered me no ETA or reason for the delay. I waited about 20 minutes and then asked her again. She still had no order and no ETA. I told her I wanted to cancel my order and the manager or cook told me that they wouldn't cancel the order because they just got done cooking it.

He handed me the 4 slices we ordered but did not have our cheesy bread or pepperoni knots ready. That took another 10 minutes. I finally got all the food and got it back home to eat it. All the food was either burnt or undercooked. It wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't great.

We won't be visiting Spinelli's again and hope the restaurant can find some staff so no one has an experience...
