This is a special place to my wife, and it was unexpected that we even found it. We had finished a six mile hike at Rocky Mountain National Park, and were heading back to Fort Collins. We were all in agreeance that we were going to stop at a nearby burger place, but as I was driving, my wife said "Turn around...I haven't been to 3 Margaritas since I was 10 or 11 years old!!!" We live in Iowa now, and we were back in the Loveland area visiting family. I did turn around, and we ate at 3 Margaritas. There are so many absolutely amazing looking meals on the menu...it was extremely difficult to choose. My wife, her father, myself, and our son and daughter all absolutely loved our meals. I got a special seafood meal (weird, I know to get this at a Mexican restaurant, but I like to try meals I don't think I could find elsewhere), and it had six types of seafood for about $25. From my point of view and incredible value. Everyone loved their food, especially our kids. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the Loveland Colorado or Fort Collins Colorado area. Lastly, the chips and salsa are wonderful, and they will bring refills as well. That was certainly a great treat as we hadn't eaten after our six mile hike, and those chips went fast, and the meals came out very quickly as well. It was such a joy to see my wife be able to eat at a restaurant that meant so much to...
Read moreThis was the worst Mexican restaurant ever! I can't say enough about how unpleasant this experience was. The inconsistencies with how drinks were made, especially having ordered the same drinks, lol... The service to say the least needed a major overhaul, where's Dave Ramsey? We should have done an about face and ran from the building when we first spotted ants along the base board of the restaurant. Given the unclean reputation of most Mexican restaurants and how over priced they were, we thought we'd give it a try and having done so are now realizing truth in all the rumors. Total wipe out! In keeping with the restaurant cliché of "in and out" dinning, come on! Don't you guys having any sense of respect for your culture? Where's the pride and honor in serving amazing food with great flavors other than an endless list of unhealthy food choices overflowing with grease and fats. Enough already, too much hype over beans, come on! The fall out after the fact, stomach ulcers, diarrhea, sleepless night of stomach cramps and this incessant conversation of regrets having made the decision to eat there. This was the ultimate bust of eating out this year. Way over priced, poor quality, poor service and wait time was farcical! Ban yourself from any Mexican experience, run for the border back into America and show them how restaurants held to higher...
Read moreI've been a regular at Loveland 3 Margaritas for more than 5 years. The food is consistently good and the portions are generous. I have a couple of favorite servers who remember my preferences; all the servers are attentive and friendly. Classic Mexican decor and ambiece. Try the crispy or soft chile rellenos! Three notes: (1) I like Tex-Mex style, and this restaurant does that well; it also has Southwestern style with good green chile sauce and black beans. (2) I highly recommend the Loveland location. However, I did not enjoy the food or hot sauce when I tried the Longmont location (although the outdoor seating there is nice). I refuse to eat at the Fort Collins location because it is impossible to find a seat that isn't subjected to one of the numerous inescapable wall-mounted televisions. (3) A tip for dining at the Loveland location: for me, good salsa is the high point of a Mexican restaurant. This location serves an adequate mild to medium-heat chunky salsa with excellent fresh chips. But ask for the tasty mild sauce or the very hot habanero. Neither is chunky but both are delicious! I mix them to get a flavorful spicy habanero with traditional tomato flavor. I highly recommend Loveland...
